I am signed up with Rakuten Marketing but am having trouble copying links to my web page. Get errors and it does not redirect to their website.
Does anyone have information

As others have mentioned a lot of affiliate programs have the image HTML which if you're just wanting a text link won't work. You'll need to only copy the URL out of the HTML. If you provide the HTML I can point out what portion you need to use.

here is the link. I had to save as .jpg to send it to you. Thanks

Got it. So the link that you'd use is: https:/
/click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=0H7*C4*v1BQ&offerid; =622235.11&subid=0&type=4

The other URL there is the source of the image but what I pasted above (I had to include spaces so it's not exactly right so you'll want to copy it exactly right from the affiliate website) is your affiliate link that you can link in text

Thank you for your help. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

No problem that's what I'm here for! Glad I could help!

Are these text links or image links,? They are applied differently so it really matters on the answer.

image links

Put your affiliate link at the top and the html code below.
I have a company I affiliate for and that is how it is set up with them.
Each one operates different, and it's confusing.
Hope this helps.

So your affiliate link will be the URL and their code will be next.

This should insert an image as well.

Thanks, I will try that!

what are the rules/law of using graphics off the web?

By rule of thumb, if it doesn't say it is free to use, then it probably isn't. I use the same sites that WA uses: Pixabay, Unsplash and Pexels. My personal favourite is Pixaby.

When you click to download an image, it will disclose the licensing, whether it is free to use without having to give credit to the image copyright holder or not.

Avoid the sponsored images unless you want to purchase an image.

you could use a website like canva.com to create your own graphics. no copyright there, as you have created the graphic.
canva.com is free to use and is pretty good.

Thank you John. I will look into it. Thanks for taking the time.

let me know if you have any trouble. thanks

Wiki explains copyright very well and applies to graphics as well.
