Content Takes Time...
...and currently I don't have any time! I'm working hard on the original content for my site, but my writing commitments and teaching commitments have taken all my time. I'm posting plenty of links to my work I've posted on other sites, but links don't keep the audience on my page. I'm learning that I have to be intentional in creating original content for my site in addition to the links I post. Plus, I'm still managing time a bit too much by gut feeling instead of sticking to my plan.
If this reads more like a diary entry rather than a blog, that is intentional. Business practices must be sound, but what I write and what I do must come from my passion. I can operate no other way. I don't think you should either.
WA isn't so much about finding a niche to market, it's about finding a niche you're passionate about, then working to make that passion profitable. I've said before that great content and hard work will bring success, but I've left out the passion that keeps you working toward your goals when they seem unreachable. If your niche seems to be weighing you down instead of energizing you, find a new niche. After all, if you're not enjoying what you do, is it worth it?

You hit the hammer on the nail. Could not possibly be more correct. My sponsor made double emphasis of this point. Hope you find the niche that doesn't result in dread every time you think about the task of writing content. One of the best posts I've read, because it truly comes from the heart. Great job.
