FEBRUARY 5TH UPDATE THE CORONA VIRUS AND ON CHINA AND HONG KONG
Hong kong residents and medical staff are supporting a close of the borders to china, the medical fraternity have gone on strike
this action would be a nightmare for froeigners needing to travel out or in to china and hong kong for visa exit periods,
A cruise liner has been held under Quarantine off Japan shores as 10 reported infected individuals are amoung the passengers [ leads us to consider that many more will also be infected bt are bot showing this yet?]
Uk has also reported 2 new cases of infected people
UPDATE ON THE VIRUS AT 29th Jan 2020
Instances of hospitalized patients have been found to be recovering in Wuhan and Hebei, This is of course good news, but needs to be progressed quickly and more effectively in other areas, then drug or cure treatment is not yet been released for me to write about

The death toll now stands at 170, with more than 7,700 cases confirmed in China.
How is China handling the outbreak?
Although questions have been raised about transparency, the WHO has praised China's handling of the outbreak. President Xi Jinping has vowed to defeat what he called a "devil" virus.
The central province of Hubei, where nearly all deaths have occurred, is in a state of lock-down. The province of 60 million people be home to Wuhan, the heart of the outbreak.
The city has effectively been sealed off and China has put numerous transport restrictions in place to curb the spread of the virus.

HELLO I AM AN EXPAT IN SHENZHEN CHINA AND AFTER READING YOUR RECENT ARTICEL ON TEH CORONA VIRUS, IT STILL AMAZES ME HOW THIS HAS SPREAD SO QUICKLY
WE ARE WEARING MASKS IN THE CITY AND OF COURSE PARKS AND SOCIAL GATHERING PLACES ARE CORDONED OFF
Whereas only a few days ago it was OK to walk about for some relief and exercise.
The Chinese government are aware of the impact of this infection more so because they are currently building 2 new from the ground, these are special hospitals to support the outbreak in Wuhan. This project is paramount and the race is on to complete these buildings ASAP!
The Xizang famous singer Hang Hong, has raised millions of RMB funds to assist this disaster, she has already completed the first needed supplies to Wuhan with visible accountability of the received funds from other business, superstars and so forth.

Thanks for the update. I live in a very small town in Zimbabwe and a local newspaper reported our town as being on 'high alert' toward the virus. We have many mining projects being run by different Chinese companies and am guessing that's the reason behind the report. We pray it is quickly curbed!!

thats an interesting thought and i would say that that countries like Africa and south-america are really open to serious spread that would annihilate regions.
This concerns me more than anything else, also the recent Trump Blocking of certain 5 countries shows how serious this becoming

I do how you are being in readiness and as much protection from visitors to Africa are kept to a minimum

My strongest fear right now is that our country's health system has been run down and medical services have been strained to the point that nurses and doctors have been on strike for months. Medicine in all public hospitals is unavailable and only the elite have easy access to medicine. The situation is terribly dire and only God right now can truly help us out here.
All hope is that this virus does not spread any further around the world as it has.

well to be correct me and my friends here are doing what we can to keep optimistic and active with runs in the park with masks, lol
looks like the hong kong residents and medical fraternity are creating a big ho haa about closing the border between china and HK
that would prove a nightmare for us foreign travellers using that exit port, with visa and all
still positive is the way forward right
