Q & A with the OldMule: Not show up properly in Google ...

I have already updated my All-in-one SEO but the description in google when I search it is still something like "Just Another Wordpress Site" and etc... Answer: Do not panic, all is good.
let me explain a little about what goes on when we build a website with Wordpress. It is known as a Blog or a Blogging Platform. When we create a post in our blog and hit the Publish button, it does just that!
Does what? (Simplified version)
You see, Wordpress has a mechanism that Posts the details of the post to the Search Engines, this is called a ping or pinging.
So what?
Well, when we created the website, the original template had "Just Another Wordpress Site" as a post - and yes, it was already published as the site got built, thus it got pinged!
Then we deleted the original post, and we created a new post and hit publish, so it got pinged!
Okay!
So we had a published page pinged. Deleted it and created a new one that got pinged.
Meanwhile back at the ranch!
Google got to hear of the first ping, they then sent out the web robot to check it out, who then rushed back to Google and said put this post into the Google search results. So Google kindly did just that!
So now we have a new post?!
No problem! Remember it has already been pinged when we republished etc. So, carry on with more content building and dreams of making lots of money too, as the Google Bot, (as well as all the others), will come back, crawl your site and list your new post very soon.
More advanced option
Create "Site maps" and ask Google and Co to read them and list these using Google type Webmaster tools and so on. More on sitemaps coming soon.

Exceedingly more earth shattering for this little duck (please consider I have spent countless 12 hr shifts in server rooms with sysadmins, dba's, programmers etc, & sounding a little non pc - very few laughs were had), is that I would never, and I mean NEVER, expect to read an article about pinging & have a chuckle @ the same time - You sir are my new hero (may b an exaggeration, will see after some rest).
