Clicking on my G+ symbol brings up Carson's page. Why??? My G+ account is up to date and a new url has been issued -but not recognized! EH???
I am glad to hear that you were able to restore your identity, George. *smile* That Googlian logic can be very strange at times. :)
Thanks, Melanie! Computers, invented by humans, don't think the way I do - which can be a good or a bad thing!
:) george
Marcel - it's not just you!
Googlian logic works in mysterious ways, and only certain High Priests and Priestesses have been inducted into it's deep, dark secrets. Thanks to help from Jude, the issue has been resolved and my original identity has been restored!
:) george
Thanks, Chris - I've fixed things, following the link that Jude found - why didn't I see it? Your help is appreciated!
:) george
I mentioned it to Kyle in chat - don't know whether he noticed as it was getting late.
Then, I figured it out. Even if you have done this before, do it again:
1. Log in to your G+ account.
2. Click the G+ "me" link shown in your WA profile. It will take you to your G+ profile page.
3. Copy the G+ link in your browser and paste it into the field in your WA settings. That should do the trick.
~ Jude
Thanks, Jude - will try, but have to switch off due to a thunderstorm. I've tried getting into my siterubix site to edit it - can't even do that! G!
Logged in to G+ a/c via Chrome. The page shows my correct profile.
I can see NO "G+ "me" " link on my WA profile page. It only shows up in my blogs.
When I go to My Account in WA, my G+ ID appears there. I copy & paste it into the url box, save it and get a green message that it has been updated.
Google + Profilehttps://plus.google.com/115801432659344014880
is what appears in the WA url box.
I have another G+ ID in my G+ a/c: google.com/+GeorgePetrovsky
When I try to enter THAT in WA settings, a red notice comes up saying that ID can't be found.
Something has stuffed up somewhere, by me no doubt, and I don't know how to fix it, even with your suggestions. Maybe I should start writing letters again?
:( G!
Sorry to hear that. Tomorrow is another day. Watch out for the lightning strikes...lol. ~Jude
Sorry, I meant to say the link provided in your WA account settings.
Never mind, I went to get it for you. Click on "edit" at the end of the line where the G+ field will appear
Then copy/paste the link below into the field in your WA settings:
(you did not have the correct format for the link).
https://plus.google.com/+GeorgePetrovsky/posts
Don't forget to save it. I hope that works for you.
~Jude
Jude - maybe a direct lightning strike would solve all my problems! Soon, I'm going to give the whole game away. :( G!
Are you really St. Jude - the Saint of Hopeless Causes? Like me? Thanks to your help, when I now click on my G+ profile - I get ME!!!!!
Sometimes computorial logic befuddles my tired old brain. The answer was simple - because you knew where to look and what to look for.
Tonight, I can sleep in peace. The thunderstorm has passed.
Many thanks again, Jude! :) george
Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but when I enter ID https://plus.google.com/115801432659344014880 I get Carson't G+, but when i enter google.com/+GeorgePetrovsky I go to your page.
I've been struggling with G+ too. Whenever you have more than one account or profile you're trying to access from the same browser it seems hard to navigate. Maybe that's just me though....
I won't agree with the latter line coz no Turkey could focus such beautiful pics, only Eagles can :D
Thanks, Hari - you will see in my latest blog, that the problem has at last been resolved. My G+ identity has been restored!
:) george
Did you set up your authorship with google on your siterubix sites and have not redone it on your .com yet with about me page.
Tommy - I've logged into my siterubix site and can't even edit the post there ( having previously made 100+ revisions!) Getting lots of dead ends and no answers.
You are right when I click on your G+ next to your name on this page it does go to Carson's but when I go on one of my blogs and click on mine it goes to my page. How did you do that?
Ha! My name is now George Carson, I've shot up to # 2 in rank and am making $ millions! Why worry? Short answer: I don't know, Tommy.
I'm sure something will sort itself out, one day...
:) george
G'day, Chris! Yes, I've got my G+ ID sitting in my url box in Account Settings. A green message came up to say it was OK. Next, I'm supposed to go to my Author's Page - if only I knew where and what that was. I'm not signed up to Street Articles and only have 2 siterubix sites. I've PM'd Carson, but he's a very busy man. Any help you could offer, with your expertise, would be appreciated!
:) george
Hey George, I was going to mention the same as Jude, I would think that was it.
another thought that comes to mind is the contributor section in the about me section on your G+ profile, adding your WA link there maybe ?
I know little things like that can be frustrating but I'm sure you will get it solved soon mate.

An interesting blog by Teronie: "Don't Write Crap." Do some of us need a personality transplant?
No transplant required, my friend. You are one of the best photographers and writers I know. Your pictures speak a thousand words, your words meaningful and insightful.
Am with Gator Gal, would like to see that link. Will search for it.
In this world of gamers, haters, tweeters and bookers, what is said takes a bit more to understand the meaning.
Am editing a blog - Eat less Crap, Eat more Food. ^_~
Thanks for your kind words, Linda. Guess I'll just stay an old codger! Looking forward to some good advice in your upcoming blog.
:) george
Hi George - truer words were never spoken. I, too, missed this one....could you post the link? Might be helpful to a lot of us. Thanks....and thanks for the comment.
~~Suz
Will try to include the link, Suz, bear with me... thanks for your visit and comments.
:) george
Haven't read the blog, but I certainly need to make a conscious effort to keep my sentences short.
Now that twittering is not only for the birds, a limit of 140 characters including the spaces between them, needs to be placed on all our interactions, be it in real life with friends or when we post anything on our blogs or write in our emails. Being conscious all the time is no fun!
:) george
And counting characters or words is even less fun :-) - regardless of whether there is a minimum or a maximum...
Hi George....You are doing just fine. No transplant needed. *smile* Have a great weekend.....*Melanie*

Reverting to 8th grade when I write or talk to people would require a frontal lobotomy Dumbing down

I have created a Word document of about 10 pages as a blog. How to set it up here rather than WP? Is docx a suitable format or convert to PDF?
normally you would use the editor on your site. select and copy a page to the editor in your dash board may work for your site. add a new page for your different subject copy and paste into the wp site editor. preview make changes and then publish.

YAY!! You get to be George again! I'm happy to see you got it all straightened out. :o)

G'day, Amanda - it will take a fair bit to straighten me out!
