Kindly let us know if you were able to resolve it or need additional assistance. Thank you Richard.

Hi Abie, I too had similar output from ChatGPT but it didn't work.

I asked ChatGPT, these are the steps to follow

Install and activate AIO SEO: Ensure that you have installed and activated the All in One SEO plugin on your WordPress website.

Access AIO SEO settings: In your WordPress dashboard, go to the All in One SEO tab, usually located on the left-hand side menu. Click on it to access the AIO SEO settings.

Configure Open Graph settings: Within the AIO SEO settings, look for the "Social Meta" or "Social Settings" section. This is where you can customize your Open Graph settings.

Set default image: In the Open Graph settings, you will have an option to set a default image. This image will be used when there is no specific featured image assigned to a post or page.

Customize metadata: You can also customize the Open Graph metadata for your posts and pages individually. When creating or editing a post, scroll down to the AIO SEO section below the content editor. You will find fields to enter the title, description, and image specifically for Open Graph.

Save your changes: Make sure to save your settings after configuring the Open Graph options.

I agree about it being outdated. I wish they would update it to at least the end of 2022.

I am sure it will evolve as time passes along :)

Hey Richard,

Being as nothing has worked for you this far, I decided to try Google searching your question. It appears that you are not the only one suffering from this same issue. See screen print below...

You may it to your advantage to run the same search and read through what others have tried. Perhaps one technique that has been shared might work for you.

Also... it MIGHT be your SEO plugin that is causing this issue. AIOSEO has dropped off being the number 1 SEO plugin for a few years now.

If that turns out to be your issue, you may have to change plugins. Rank Math makes it sooooo simple to switch over to theirs from AIOSEO... just so you know.

Hope you find this helpful.

There are also free image sizers online and some of them will resize your image for various sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites. Generally, they all follow a very close format. https://www.google.com/search?q=image+sizer+online&rlz=1C1JSBI_enUS1064US1064&oq=image+sizer+online&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i10i433i512j0i10i512l8.4149j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Hi David, thanks. I understand that the image should be at least 300 x 300 px from what I have read. But my images are bigger than that already.

if you edit the post at the bottom in the seo section you will find a social section and this is what is displayed for the opengraph information....
the default open graph information is found in your seo section in the sidebar....

Thanks Phil,

But it didn't work for my case...

In the Social Network settings in the AIO SEO plugin, I have set it as Featured Image.

In the blog post Social section, I have tried Default Image Source (Set in Social Networks), and also tried Featured Image in the Image Source dropdown menu. Both didn't work when I paste the URL on Whatsapp where no image shows up.

oh well - sorry it didn't fix it...
i hope you manage to get a solution soon...
have you tried searching the plugin directory for a solution...
having a quick look around - is the size of image you are showing in the order of 256x256 to 400x400 and less than 300kb...
and any og image data whatsapp will take the last one in the list....
so maybe if you can select an image in the seo data for that post you can have one in that size to see if it shares...
make sure there are no spaces in the filename - replace spaces with either underscore or dash....and make sure the full url is included https://.......
inspect the meta data by viewing the post and press ctrl+u - a new tab will open - find ( ctrl+f) og:image and search for the last one....
and if minifying the data it maybe removing the " " around the image url - these are needed so if this is the case then it needs t obe excluded somehow....

Hi Frank, thanks. I will give it a try.

When I am in draft mode, the table looks fine where the text in each row and column (a 3 column table) are nicely wrapped to the next line. But upon clicking Preview, it became 1-liner.

Yeah, pressing the return key should prevent that.

Thanks again Frank. It works beautifully now!

In the new block editor you have to add it manually or by using a plugin.

For me, I add the no follow manually - after you have added your external link you will have to click on the 3 dots on the tools then the drop-down menu will open... then click on Edit as HTML, then the block that you have just added an external link will show as HTML then you can insert the "no follow" inside the noreferrer noopener code.

After adding the nofollow you can switch back by clicking Edit visually.

Hope it helps!

Hi Rowe, thanks.

I am wondering whether I should switch back to AIO SEO or go to Rank Math.

SEO Framework doesn't seem to be so efficient. :(

Hi Richard,

For convenience maybe but I'm not sure if it could affect your site especially if it has already gathered traffic.

You can check the link below and decide which way is more efficient.

My apologies; I have it wrong.

Its ok Lula.

Hey Richard,

In Rank Math, you can select to make all of your external links "nofolow". See screen print below...

So, I went into my trusted test site and activated SEO Framework but could NOT find any such option... which is odd.

Have you tried submitting a ticket to the plugin developer?

Even a quick Google search in answering your question, brought up nothing even close to an answer.

Wish I could have been able to help you.

Hi Trish, indeed, it is odd.

And in Rank Math, may I know is there also a "sponsored" link feature that we can add when it comes to affiliate links?

I found it in Rank Math website on the Sponsored tag.

But I do not quite understand the instruction: In the Affiliate Link Prefix field, enter the slug /go/. Once you have entered the slug, click on the Save Changes button to save your changes.

Is it telling me that I should identify the affiliate link URL pattern and add as a prefix? Like I have Etsy affiliate link which all has "https:// tidd.ly/ <random alphanumeric for the product"

How should I be adding the slug?

Good find, Richard :)

The Rank Math directions are offered here: https://rankmath.com/kb/manage-affiliate-links/

Thank you Trish!

A couple of my websites have videos on the home page, if you'd like to check them out.

I wrote the script but hired someone on Fiverr to record the actual video.

Hi Phil! Thanks! I have checked out your website. May I know where do you embed your video? How do you optimise the video so that it doesn't impact the website performance too much?

Which site(s) did you check?

I engaged a video spokesperson on Fiverr to create the video and then used videosmaller.com to reduce the file size. It's a free service and very effective.

I use Thrive Architect as my page editor. It has a facility where you can drag and drop a video to wherever you want it displayed. I prefer to do that rather than upload the video to a platform such as YouTube and post a link as YouTube will take your visitor away from your site.

I was checking superaffiliatechallenge.

Thanks Phil for the link to reduce video file size. I am also thinking the same if I upload to YouTube.

So that means you reduce the file size and upload the video directly into your website media right? Is there a guideline of some sort on the target file size of video (although the video length plays a huge part)?

No, I just use video smaller. It can reduce the file size by 80% without any noticeable loss of quality.

Yes, the video is uploaded to the media library. That way, you retain full control.

Thank you so much!

You're welcome, Richard.

Hi Phil,

May I know in your superaffiliatechallenge website where you had that video that you uploaded directly into wordpress, which block do you use that gives you the ability to have that mouseover play button? Is it some plugin that you use?

Sure, Richard. I don't use the block editor at all, as I have the Thrive Suite and use its drag-and-drop editor Thrive Architect.

With Architect, you simply drag the Video element to where you want the video to appear and then edit its properties, including how it's to be played.

I see. I am just using GP premium. Guess I have to find a different way then..

Sorry I can't help with the block editor. I just don't use it.

You mentioned the theme you're using. This shouldn't have any effect on your editing facilities.

Is Thrive Suite a page builder?

It includes Thrive Architect, which is a drag-and-drop editor for building pages and posts. It includes a lot of other stuff too, but WA doesn't recommend it. They think it's too complex for most users.

Noted, thanks Phil!

Upload the video to a third-party hosting service like YouTube or Vimeo and then embed the video on your website using the embed share.

Use a plugin or theme that includes a video greeting feature.

- Use high-quality images
- Keep it simple
- Use contrasting colors
- Include relevant text
- Use branding elements
- Test and iterate
Follow channels guidelines

Thanks Abie, I will use embed as suggested.

It is new to me when you mention video greeting feature though.

I've seen a video welcome before on a website, but it's somewhat rare. You could potentially maybe have a welcome video on your about me page as it's your introduction to your audience and in it, if you wanted, you could explain how the website works. But for the most part, websites are self explanatory. The home page usually does a good job of letting your audience know what's in store for them, so focus on your homepage doing exactly that and the audience will get the benefit of a solid user experience.

No one wants a welcome video to your site they are not interested in you they are only interested in what you can do for them
On your home page should let people know how they can benefit from your site and what problem it solves

Dear All,

Need some advise for those who uses Redirection plugin to redirect 404 issues. Do I need to redirect all the URLs listed in the 404 tab? Because the URL listed

Hey Richard,

In reusing templates, I noticed the Redirection plugin automatically adding redirects from the template post's previous title to what I want used.

For all of those, I simply delete them.

The ONLY URLs that I want redirected, I must be the one to create the redirects for, and not use those the plugin creates.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hi Trish, thank you for your guidance. I did not notice the Redirection plugin has a feature to automatically redirect. I'm only checking the 404 logs and then determine whether I should add redirect or not. And I suppose this aligns to what you mentioned. Thank you. 🙏🏼

The option to automatically add redirects MAY have come to be add in a more recent version of the Redirection plugin, as I don't ever remember having the plugin do this previously.

Then again... this is the first (old) website I've updated using a template and having to shorten so many URLs to make them more user and SEO friendly.

Once I'm finished with the site, I will move it to the LIVE site, and then add and activate Rank Math.

Rank Math removes the need of the Redirection plugin, as it will transfer all redirected URLs to theirs... saving yet another plugin.

Tempting to switch to to Rank Math!

I have never switch a SEO plugin before. Is it just a simple uninstall the SEO Framework and install Rank Math and then reinput the meta title and description? Do I need to go to GSC to resubmit sitemap.xml?

I had to switch from the AIOSEO plugin to Rank Math and Rank Math handled the switch better than ANY other plugin I've used to replace another.

However, Google searching that question... it does NOT appear to be able to handle switching from SEO Framework at the moment. See 1st screen print below...

Personally, I would reach out to Rank Math's developer either on social media (see 2nd screen print), or directly... if you find another means... and ask that they please include users wanting to easily switch over from SEO Framework.

That has worked wonders in the past for me, whenever reaching out to developers like this. They actually want to hear from those wanting to use what they've developed.

Just a thought...

Redirecting all 404 error logs in the Redirection plugin may not be necessary or effective for improving your website's SEO. It's essential to investigate the source of the strange URLs causing 404 errors and determine whether they are actually causing any user or SEO issues before redirecting them. Instead, focus on redirecting broken links or missing pages that are more relevant to your website's content and audience.

I was notified by GSC on just 3 URL that has 404. And they are genuine broken links because I took down the pages as I was redesigning the website. And thats where i noticed the many other strange URLs appearing in the Redirection plugin logs. Thanks for your perspective, Abie. I will just focus on the broken URL that I know is due to my actions and those that GSC flags. Hopefully, this is the right approach.

Hi I found this article to be helpful

Thanks Brenda, I read it. It is helpful but it didn't have the answer I'm seeking.

It's a hard one to answer. Which SEO plugin are you using? I am using RankMath and it took care of the redirection for me. I'm not familiar with others. My suggestion is get SiteSupport assistance with this. Sounds complicated. I'm not sure how those links got there. Ask SiteSupport how to remove that if it's not yours.

No worries, thanks Brenda.

I'm hoping to gather experience from people who have used the 'Redirection' plugin. I'm using SEO Framework.

Ok. Sounds good. Find Abie in LiveChat or anyone there that knows this stuff.
