Reconstructing Old Posts

Hello All!
I have been spending some time to "reconstruct" my old posts, mainly to convert from classic editor mode to block editor mode.
At the same time, I took the time to check what I wrote using Grammarly as I didn't use this in my earlier posts. And I therefore had the chance to fix quite a number of bad writing!
At the same time, I even found out that one post that I wrote seems to be duplicating in nature with another post that I wrote later on. So I decided to unpublish the old post, meaning, about 1000 words had to be wiped out. It is a pity but that's my mistake, and glad I realised it!
So it is good to go back once in a while to do some housekeeping.
And I quite enjoy touching up some of my old posts, rewording and adding internal links or external links where possible. Plus, I was able to embed some relevant YouTube videos into one of my post. So perhaps, I would consider these as a minor SEO improvement too.
To be honest, I do not know whether this is really time well-spent. But it is in my To-Do list for the longest time and I thought of getting them out of the way. And I recall reading somewhere that Google does like our post to be updated. So I hope Google likes me a little more where I am still not in its good books. *chuckle*
I have 2 more classic editors based posts to convert but I will continue tomorrow and I should then be on the move again to research and write new content.
Wishing you all a great day ahead!
Regards,
I've been spending time updating my posts from two years ago as well.
it's great to see how my writing has improved, and yes, I now use Grammarly as well, and have come across some embarrassing typo's.
I believe it's time well spent as I can add links to my latest product reviews to post that were previously not monetized.
I am also optimizing my pictures because I didn't do it properly the first time around.
So far I have been through about 20 of my 80+ posts...... it's going to take a while!
Thanks for sharing,
Andrew
