I'm getting problems with Bing Webmaster Tools on one of my websites. Getting this message when trying to index (will put down below). I submit the sitemap regularly but am uns

Looks like you are well covered here with some excellent insight and guidance.

Please let us know if you still have any questions.

You can also check your setting to ensure you have allowed indexing.

And that too :)

bing message

you can't force any of the search engines to index your content...
bing and yahoo have a system called indexnow ( there is a plugin for this or seopress has it included) where you create hte post and it is automatically added for indexing...( google has a similar one and you need to add the google api)
you shouldn't need to keep uploading your sitemap - it should be automatically updated each time you create a post and hte search engines notified - check your seo plugin for details...
but i would just wait for indexing, unless they are months old and not indexed...
there are several tools within bing webmaster tools to help you
the url inspection will give you some ideas - you don't need to fix everything....
and the sitescan can help with overall issues - according to bing ( so evaluate if you really need to fix them...)

Good to know with the SEOpress, may be I shouldn't have gone to rank math - I'll see how it goes.

there may be others who offer hte service - i know there is a plugin to do the indexnow, but don't know whether it does the google auto index...
i would be suprised if rank math doesn't offer it...

reference for rank math

I got it bookmarked - Thank you Phil :) Really great article.

thanks!

Try resubmit a sitemap

I've done that a few times Abie but still not working, I've put the message below

How about if redo again from the start, have you tried that?

Hello, can anyone let me know a quick and easy way to crop your images so they are all the same size on your website? Currently I have different sized images and it looks unpro

if you click on the image in your post then you can resize it ....grab the 'handle' that appears when you click on the image...
then drag it a bit ...
then click on the pencil and you can resize it manually...so they all end up the same size....
make sure they are a small file size before you upload them....
for anything around 640 pixels across it want to be around 50kb....
have fun
phil
too large an image can seriously impact your mobile speed and as google is mobile first if your site speed is slow then you will be penalised by not ranking highly....

thanks for the response Phil - I can't find the bit where you can resize the image manually. Is this on the 'edit' pencil?

Also I also want to resize my featured images so they are all also the same size, right now they are different sizes on the front page of my website

Do you know how to resize the featured images?

if you have dragged the corner of the image then clicked on the pencil you will see this

the featured images may be more of a problem....
you can try settings>>media ...
and depending on your theme you may find a setting for them in there....
but normally they turn out full size....so whatever size you uploaded they will appear that size and can be multiple sizes....
best thing to do is to resize you images before you upload....and know how your theme handles featured images....so you can set them accordingly...
there is a plugin called 'Quick Featured Images plugin' to set the size of featured images which might be current ...amybe worth checking out...

I'm struggling to understand how the Jaaxy SEO statistic works/the purpose behind it.

To illustrate I got two results on a Jaaxy search:

Result A has an average o

Some great explanations below and they will work for you.
Also, have a read of Pasha's extra analysis to choosing the right keywords. I've found combining these with Jaaxy gives me the best title to draw traffic. Hope this helps,
Lily

if you go look at the first page of google for both keywords you may find that the second is less competitive...even though there are more sites going for it....
so the seo score is a useful metric...
you can also go to search analysis in jaaxy and use hte button to see more information of the top 10 ranking sites...
the main one being the number of words...this is what you need to beat...but by being more relevant rather than just including words....
you can also see the type of posts google has selected for the query...
good luck
phil

Focus only on the average monthly searches and the QSR. I find that I get more traffic from different keywords than what Jaaxy says I will get under the traffic stat.

Although the SEO score is based on traffic and competition, I have found that it's better to gauge how well a keyword is going to do strictly on the average monthly traffic and the QSR.

I don't know all of the tech behind Jaaxy, but maybe it's factoring in other things behind the scenes that would otherwise be too much to understand. (Maybe the competition has a more trusted domain name, etc)

Hope that helped!
