Hmm, they want my credit card details to start a free one week trial, then 50 dollars a month if I do not cancel the free trial? No no no, I think I will stick to the truly free ones like http://pixabay.com and http://canva.com and even the google image search for royalty free images...thanks mate, but no thanks
I think that you are making a mistake. WA is a great legitimate program. You get what you pay for. If they are free, you will not be getting a lot. In any case, I wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose.
pixabay.com has some great FREE photos (shop by keywors like amimals, business people, Sunsets, etc… so does unsplash.com they send 10 new FREE photos to your email every 10 days. You only download what you want to build your library. Canva is also very good for editing and sizing photos and laying out all sorts of posts and emails, slideshows, business presentations, online ads, etc. Also, Gratisography.com is another FREE photo resource. They have some unusual ones. It is good to have a library of photos for your projects. You can never have too many. They disappear quickly. Happy Hunting and good luck!
No mistake, I don't need to become a member of graphic stock with credit card details for a free week trial to be a member of WA
No worries. I was only showing members about the site it is in no way related to being a member at the WA. I want to thank those who have listed places with other free graphics. I like others do not have a membership to a site that requires us to pay for graphics.
i see, yeah there are tons out there that don't require cc details, i don't even have a credit card, actually! lol.
I have read the terms of use, I do have a problem with the next paragraph:
Effect of Termination. Termination of any Service includes removal of access to such Service and barring of further use of the Service. Termination of all Services also includes deletion of your password and all related information, files and Content associated with or inside your Account (or any part thereof), including Your Content. Upon termination of any Service, your right to use such Service will automatically terminate immediately. You understand that any termination of Services may involve deletion of Your Content associated therewith from our live databases. Footage Firm will not have any liability whatsoever to you for any suspension or termination, including for deletion of Your Content. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive, shall survive termination of Services, including without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitation of liability. You may have rights relating to Stock Files that extend beyond such termination under the applicable Supplemental Terms.
My English is not so well, but when I do understand right, you get the pictures for free, directly downloaded from their server. And when you are deleting your account, they terminate your downloaded content?
Does anybody know what this paragraph exactly means?
I would like to know the same thing before downloading, in case I end up using any on my site. I wouldn't want to have a bunch of dead images down the road
Ok. From the lingo shown above. Basically, any thing you had access to download as NEW not what was already downloaded wI'll not be avaliable after cancelation of your account. Also any content you upload to share, etc. will be removed. Anything you download to use will not be deleted because you already downloaded and then uploaded to your own site.
I haven't looked into this site yet but there ARE OTHER sites where they give you the link to post in your site for the image and it cannot be saved locally to your PC. IN this instance you would have a lot of blank images in your site if you closed your account.
I hope that clears up the confusion.
Great! Thanks for the clarification. I may have to check this out. Much appreciated and all the best! How has your experience been with it so far? Nice library of images?
