Just wonderinsg is anyone herre on Wealthy Affiliate has a site that covers LGBTQ+ based subjects and issues.

The reason I ask is that as a sideline to my main websites,

I would input in google, "niche + Wealthy Affiliate" and see what you find.

Okay, So I recently decidd to change the domain name of y site as well as the site name as i have decided to narrow the niche down a little and tie it in with an existing proje

Site support helps me to move to the new domain with no issue at all. WA server will keep the redirect of your old website to new website until you notify them to stop.
Based on the long crawling session from Google, you have to keep redirecting for at least one year.

You can get dedicated migration plug ins which should help.
From what I can understand, you have an existing website ( not site rubix) you are trying to move stuff from. And want to move it to another new “ niche based” website. ( am I on the right wave length)
Then you want to check and make sure all your links work correctly. Am I hitting the right notes here….
If so..check this out, it should head you in the right direction.

Yes, as the rest have advised here, you can MOVE your old website to your new domain name. It is a simple move. With the move redirects are created from your old website to your new website. Your images, pages, posts, theme, settings will all MOVE and the URL will now be your new domain names URL. You can check your About Me, Privacy policy, Contact page for URLs that may need to be changed.

If you have Google Analytics and Good Search Console installed..do NOT make changes to that. The same accounts are being used.

Personally I would not do anything with your old site for 60 - 90 days because you want to be sure the search engines crawl your site and see the redirects. It is hard to predict when search engines do the crawl so to be safe give yourself 60 -90 days if your domain does not expire before them.

if you use the move function all the internal links are taken care of...
if you have email addresses then you will nedd to g othrough those and posssibly your privacy policy ...there is a 'better search and replace 'plugin that can check for any references to the old site and you can then update them....

You can use the move feature found within your site manager to move your siterubix subdomain | dot com to your dot com, when you are ready. It is a simple process.

You would need to wait up to 30 days (Kyle's recommendation) for 301 redirects to be completed and for the search engines. After of which you MAY delete the subdomain however you could keep it for longer if hosting space is not an issue or for testing purposes such as themes, plugins, scripts, coding etc

It also works on purchased domain names from one to the other.

Hi Kyle.
Sorry if the title sounds blunt, but it was the most relevant thing I had in the form of a question.
What the problem is, is that some time ago I had come to acc

So it's been a while since I redeemed credits, but I've done it a handful of times, and when you redeem them they don't go to WA's PayPal, they do go to the paypal account you have on file.

But as you mentioned you didn't have one on file. I think most members have their dues set up to be taken via Paypal, but maybe you have yours set to be taken from a credit card? And if that's the case, then maybe that's where the mix up came, but rest assured the credits will be coming your way.

We receive all WA commissions on the first of the month, including credit payouts. So let's say this was done 2 weeks ago, you'd see the commissions on May 1st if you set up your PayPal in your account so you can receive commissions. That's the easiest way.

If that's still not set up, then you'd see it in the form of a credit from your membership.

As with anything, it's always possible for hiccups to happen. Just like this post that you meant to go to Kyle's PM landing here in the community. You're absolutely capable of sending a PM and have probably done it countless times before, but a missed click here or there and suddenly you do something you didn't mean to. It happens to all of us and I can feel your frustration.

it has to be approved by hte website owner before you get the credit...same a with the comments...

you will get an email ( if your notifications are on for this) to tell you...from what i remember...

and giving feedback - even if it is free feedback can hlep you as you may see something or read something that sparks an idea for your site...it helps the other member so is never a waste of time...

i have just added a couple of feedbacks to see what happened and found the same as Kara...
i will try popping out and then back in to see if it updates... although i can't remember how many credits i had...so will i know...
so if you go ahead and use the credits and your feedback is rejected can you get a negative balance....hmmm, maybe the system needs a little tweaking....

if you click on the dollar symbol and select credits ...you get ot see if you have them and when you got them...
you will need to click on community credits and see your balance...
and members can transfer them to you as well....
maybe this is a way of members showing their gratitude for helping them...not discussed as far as i know....

Not entirely sure however it may seem dependent on the economics of the platform. If members have not paid, then commentators don't get paid. It should not be seen as a guarantee vs an opportunity to make some income.

So, if someone hasnt paid their bill, US, the commentors (the ones who put all the effort inn ) get a slap in the jaw?
I dont see it as an income but as a way of exchanging comments. But i cant request comments without credits (unless i buy them) which seems a bit unfair to say the least. I can assure you that I have fully paid my bill. So why should i be the one being penalised.
There's only so many hours in the day and its a bit of a slap in the jaw when you take the time to do that and get nothing in return.
Can I then get site comments without having to pay any community credits then?

Just wondeering what lugin you guys all use for keeping your cache clear. I've been using Autoptimize for the past while, which I find is good, but cat seem to find any automat

Hey Karalyne,

On my sites hosted here, I use the SiteSpeed found by clicking on the Details button for EACH site hosted here, and I only manually clear the cache when I've needed to... which is seldom.

For other sites, hosted elsewhere, I use WP Fastest Cache, and I've also used LiteSpeed Cache on specific servers, as well as W3 Total Cache, due the need of some sites.

Each of those cache plugins can be setup to automatically clear the cache at specified times a user sets up.

For the sites hosted here, the best thing you can do is to only use the EXACT size image that you want to publish to your site.

When you upload a humongously large digital image and edit it inside WordPress, you cause your site to slow down BIG time, no matter the caching system.

Yeah, I always set my Site Speed with these WA sites. However, with some sites, I dont always get the chance to get on and posting regularly and it DOES mount up (the Cache). I currently use Autoptimize which is great for showing me just exactly how full my cache is getting with the option of clearing it. But what i'm looking for is one that I can set to a schedule that will clear the cache regularly without my manual assistance.
Do any of these ones have that option hun?

If you use a cache plugin on your site(s) hosted on the WA servers, then be sure to turn OFF the SiteSpeed so that you won't end up with conflict, that could cause your site to fail to load.

It is never a good idea to have two scripts doing the same thing to one website. Example being a cache plugin AND SiteSpeed turned on.

Each cache plugin has it's own setup where you should be able to schedule when your site is refreshed automatically.

With Site Speed on you have 2 options for caching, Accelerated and Extreme. With either option on you don't need any outside caching plugin at all.

Yes, I do and already have problems with my site slowing down due to the cache needing cleared, despite all my sites being set to extreme (Granted it does help a little). But what i'm looking for is a plugin as good as the one i currently use (Autoptimize) that has the facility of scheduling an automatic cache clear.

If you really want to use a plugin for Caching then you should turn off the siterubix/WA site speed option under Details within Site Manager, which is as good as anything out there.

In my early days here I used various plugins without realising that at best they're not needed here and at worst can cause conflicts if you leave site speed turned on.

Thanks Richard. I appreciate your input mate. But i'm really not debating whether i need a cache clearer or not. The one i've used for a ong time already gives me exact statistics of how much my cache is building up when i dont clear it, and i DO notice the difference in the load up speed of my site when i do clear it.
Unfortunately though, it doesnt seem to have a Scheduling function that i can use to auto clear my cache when i havent been on my site for a few weeks.
