System Configuration

Microsoft System Configuration, msconfig for short, is an important tool of Microsoft software application which is use to change configuration settings like software that opens up with Windows at start-up. Msconfig has several useful tabs like General, Boot, Services, Start-Up and Tools.
In Windows 10, the easiest way to load System Configuration is to type "msconfig" on the Search Bar located in your taskbar, it is beside the Windows logo.
When you start Windows and it seems slow, there are software programs that automatically opens when Windows start and this software increases usable memory and process time.
In the General tab of System Configuration tray, you can prevent all start-up items including antivirus software and other software that is needed. Click on General Tab, select "Selective Start Up", uncheck the "Load Start Up" items, click ok and doing that will load only the system services needed by your machine to start up quickly.
On the Services tab, of msconfig tray, click on Services, select Hide All Microsoft Services for us to prevent from disabling it, the rest of the services can be disabled.
Restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
When you're done using the msconfig tool, open it again and select Normal Start Up then click OK.
Definitions of the selections on the General Tab.
Normal Start Up - this will open all software applications that are normally scheduled to start Windows
Diagnostic Start Up - this will start Windows with basic services and drivers only. In this mode you will be able to know if the Window files is the problem.
Selective Start Up - this will give you to choose which programs and services you want to open and which you want to keep from opening at Start Up tab.
