Hello Everyone! I am Online Affiliate entrepreneur looking to learn, share and meet like minded successful people like myself and make money while doing it!

I have been in the fashion retail industry for over 20 years working in product development and sourcing. My journey up until now, has been long crazy hours, travel and lots of moves to go "where the job is". 8 big moves around the US to be exact!

Can you relate? Do you work long hours, feel like you never see your family and even your own dog tilts his head when you walk in the door looking at you as if you were a stranger!!!
Within that 20 years , I have been downsized 4 times, made it through multiple mergers, and bankruptcies . I had to make some big life decisions and it was extremely stressful as you can imagine.

Throughout those times I had to travel for work, miss family events and holidays. I even dealt with several health issues due to the hours and stress, including the scary BIG C...cancer! Yet , I still kept doing the daily grind thinking this is what I had to do, what I was supposed to do.

Since I started the corporate journey 20 years ago, I never felt fulfilled or that it was my true calling or purpose. I am good at what I do , as I am sure most of you are, but the gut feeling of happiness and finding "it" wasn't there. I moved from state to state, job to job thinking ..this is going to be the right job! I had been searching for at least 10+years for what would allow me time, freedom, flexibility ,purpose and passion in my life.

I didn't want my own brick and mortar business or my own fashion line. I also looked into franchising , but yet again it was a lot of money up front. I know the apparel business like the back of my hand ,but also knew it wouldn't allow me any of my goals that I was seeking in my life. It was truly time for me to figure out what that was for me.

So here I am at Wealthy Affiliate and I am so excited to be on this fantaboulous journey with you all!! :) Learning, time & freedom in life!

Hi...

Thank you very much for following me and I have followed you right back...

I read through your Bio and I can immediately relate to what you have gone through. I have a sad story of my own but that's for another time. The thing is... Scrambling up the Corporate Ladder somehow just doesn't add up... right...? Everyone scampering for the Top few positions and be made to do all sorts of awful stuff in order to get in front...

I had enough of that and I am now giving WA my all so that I can move away and stay away from Wage Earning Positions... Let me suffer through now but I would really like to own my own Business... Better yet... My Own Internet Business where I can Leverage the Purchasing Power of the Internet, Work from anywhere in the world with an Internet Connection, Work at whatever time of the day that suits me best and still get to enjoy life with those that matter the most...

That would be my Dream Come True...

All the Best and see you at the Top... 🚀

Hi, totally get where you were at, I too am a retail junkie of 30 + years. I don't feel or look old but the long hours and constant what's apps communication from 6.45am till about 9pm every day really start to make you think is this what I want to do with the rest of my working life? The answer is a resounding NO!!!!!
Retail has changed from brick to click, the future looks very different unless you embrace the digital world your future is limited.
Fashion has always been my passion for a long time, either as an independent or now as part of a corporate business.
I'm a newbie to WA thanks for following me, I'm sure we have a lot in common. Learning the online process at present but lots of ideas for the future.
Ah ra best

Hi Noelle, yes I can relate as I been in the Trucking industry for the last 20 years. It always felt like a job and definitely not a lifestyle or career though in a way it has been. I recently (Nov. 2017) was involved in an associated major accident and have been given a second (third, fourth) chance to change my life.
I found WA, but I was skeptical... instead I went through various other methods of making money online and was scammed (lied to etc).
So, here I am, broke, but excited about the future...
I am still in recovery, but now instead of aimlessly waiting while my body recovers I have purpose.
Found your niche?
In a way that was the hardest part, but I've found direction...

Hello Nromato, I can relate to you about the busy lifestyle that destroys your health. About a year ago, I have decided not to work hard instead to work smart . What does it mean? It means that I will only put energy in things that matters most. First on the list my faith, second my family, third my friends, and my carrer.
I work with cancer patients and I see their with the disease. I hope you got your treatment and you recover from the ailment. Thank you for sharing your experience with me. God bless you

Hi Nromato,
My life story is pretty similar to yours but in a different occupation that involved spending a lot of time on foreign soil. I remember returning home from task and my daughter running to her mother because she didn't know who I was.
At peak I was spending almost 70% of my time outside of my home country but in the words of the song 'regrets I have a few, but then again too few to mention', the biggest would be not knowing the true impact of my absence on those closest to me and how different life would be if I had of been around a bit more. Sadly though, we cant make up for lost time.
what I have learned through experience is that to be truly successful it is vital to achieve a real life work balance and that is my goal now, hopefully with the help of this great group we can all achieve the same, I wish you every success for the future

I think a lot of people here at WA feel the same way you do--tired of the usual long hours, low pay, stressful job atmosphere--guess that's why we are here. I just started here in March, but am enjoying the community arena and helpful attitude that is present at WA. Best of luck, just follow the training and don't be afraid to ask questions and get involved..

Welcome to WA, the WA community of awesomeness, and the world of IMers. Your experiences are a great asset to your new journey - No doubt you are bound for SUCCESS!

Other than for the "Big C" - which I only carry in my name SamMi C, I share much of what you described in your bio. As a self-employed entrepreneur for almost 40 years I had my share of ups & downs and like you, here I am. You're so right, this is a "fantabulous journey" we are engulfed in - one that through determination & persistence you have no option but to succeed.

Wishing you lots of Health, Wealth & (of course) Romance,

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)
