Like wise also, I've been reviewing the source, Scoop it. It appears to be a very powerful resource to curate content.... Any feedback will be useful. A/B testing perhaps.

I had the same idea, I have been testing it to see if it might be helpful. I'll let you know what I come up with.

Cheers Kriss! How are you integrating it into your WP site?

The site seems interesting. Will look into it and get back to you.

Sorry it didn't help. I have seen people asking this question before and they too had problems. I just log into my webmail via WA on my phone, not ideal as you don't get notifications, but it is a workaround.

Hey guys I hope all is awesome with you.

Please take a look at my site thehealthydads.com

This is my p

Nick start with a simple format site promoting WA this will give you a broader understanding of your main goal. I CANT TELL YOU WHY OR HOW BUT I CAN TELL YOU IT WORKS.

Nick, by no means do I consider myself an expert online marketer, but I would be glad to bounce some ideas back and forth with you.

Quick question, though, and I am just curious, where are you in the training? i.e. Course 1, Lesson 8, Course 2, Course 3 or further?

I took at look at the netmums.com website. First what comes to mind is that it is very broad. Each one of those topics at the top can be it's own niche.

If this was me, again just one man's opinion, I would only tackle 2-3 of those subjects at one time at the most. Really get some content going and once you start generating some organic traffic, then start another page/topic and start blogging on that as well.

Keep in mind, that there are probably many publishers who blog for netmums.com, and you are only one person.

All that being said there are two things that come to mind right away:

1) I would create a page that is title "Business Passions" or something like that. many people will be coming to your site with the same passions as you and think, I wish I could create a business like this. On that page I would simply promote Wealthy Affiliate and how it has helped you get you where you are.

I'm not saying make blog posts about it, but by having that page there, there will be folks who will click on it and join wealthy affiliate, allowing you to make money.

2) the second thing that comes to mind is any MLMs that are on your topic: When it comes to health and fitness I like Beach Body.

If you are big on organic, you can promote Bio Trust, they are a company that makes many fitness and health products like protein shakes etc. and they use no hormones, no GMO, etc, for the most part all organic. I believe they have an affiliate program.

There is another MLM that i can't think of right now but can get back with you, that promotes, physical, mental, financial, spiritual, and relational well being. It has some really great stuff. I will get back with you on the name.

3) I've gotta believe that in each category of your pages, you have to have a product or company you really like to use. See if they have an affiliate program?

So again this is just what i was thinking of off the top of my head. Give me some feedback and lets bounce some more ideas. I know some people can't stand MLMs and others love em, so I get it if MLMs aren't for you.

Oh and btw I am not affiliated with any of the above but have used their products and like them myself.

Cheers.

Wow Jason thank you for taking such time and energy to create such a helpful and positive post. In answer to your question I am on Course 2 lesson 7.

I have implemented some of what you have said this afternoon with regards to a WA page. As for MLMs you have a great idea there; however I am UK based as is some of the content...should I be searching for UK affiliates or am I missing the whole point of this and should be thinking global? Maybe ones like Beach Body have UK/European partner schemes...thinking out loud so will check in a moment I just wanted to get back to you.

Great ideas for the categories I will get thinking and writing some down. Nice one!

Yes, I would stick to UK MLMs at first or see if the ones I mentioned have a UK division, I am not sure if they do.

Even if it is not MLMs, I go back to my number 3. Especially when it comes to exercise equipment, there are many companies out there that have affiliate programs and if you like some you can blog about them.

And not to tell you to post pone what you are doing with your current site, but I agree with Reggievan, in that if this is your first site, I would promote WA first, and get really good at it, which will allow you to establish a solid internet marketing foundation.

In the words of Tim Ferris from The 4-hour workweek, "the first business you do doesn't have to be the one that you are just totally passionate about, it just needs to make passive income for you to leave your job, and then your second or third business can be the one that you are passionate about and want to change the world with."
( I paraphrased a lot)

Many first timers in business will start with what they are extremely passionate about and that's ok if there is a mentor or guidance every step of the way but if not, it is very difficult and many stop.

With promoting WA first, like Reggievan suggested, there are courses that provide the mentor and guidance and while doing this for just a short time I have learned so much not just about WA but internet marketing and online marketing tools because I have to do reviews about them.

Anyways, just a thought. You can still work this site but maybe only add something once a week, while WA would be your main focus until you get money coming in.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Hey Jason and once again thank you so much for your time and advice. I have taken a few days off to be with the family as have been working too much. An opportunity has arisen for me to start a marketing company in my local area so I will be focusing my energy on that in the short term and upping the content for healthydads soon after.

You are a good man, cheers!

Glad to hear about your opportunity! Let me know if I can be of any help in the future....best wishes! :-)

Well, I think you're on the right track with brainstorming. I would look for things like books and even courses that you could promote in relation to being active not only by yourself but with others - particularly family! For example, a book about the importance of vacationing with family. Or perhaps an online course about being a better proactive parent.

There's my two cents. : )

Awesome suggestions Sir thank you! Being present with the family is something many Dads miss even when they are with them..Thank you!
