I want to tell you from an idea I have had in many years but still not finish to do. But first I need to tell you why I´m telling you about it because I don´t have any besserwiser in mind, just learning from the experience of others.

Last week, 5th of April, was a huge fire in my town Gardabaer. Which is in 10 minutes driving from the Capital in Iceland. 6.000 square meters house is destroyed by it and this is one of the biggest fire in Iceland. I know many years know the Icelandic children TV series for children, Latabaer or lazy Town as the English name is. This series was taken up for many years in this house. But now was there 2 companies plus 200 individuals and company which had their goods there. I was one of them because I´m in a little waiting position after an accident so all my goods were there. There is still 5% chance it has to manage to survive, around 30 boxes had that possibility but it is very, very small. But when it is a possibility I hold it! I will not know it before after 7-10 days because there is still small fire and police need to research why this happens.

Even so, if that happens, it is very bad to lose all things from my flat, which was in the box, it is much worse to lose all the emotional things. Like all photos were taken with film for 40 years, important gifts and, well you understand what I mean. That is much worse than see the money value in the fire.

And now comes the reason for I write this story. One man I know have for decent years have had all his digital photos, no matter which method you used to save it like for example USB key (I don´t trust keep it online and too it´s my photos so I don´t like others can hack personal photos), on 3 places. In the work, at home, and had a box in the bank for it. And I think and have always thought, it is very clever because it really hurt if you missed it!

So I want to give you all an idea and keep the things which are important for you in as secure places as possible. Now I really trust on the online work, we see. Good luck all of you!
