I just want to remember all of you to be careful about the posts you get. Give you a few seconds to think is it´s from the person/company it looks like or if it could be a trick.

Today I got a post from Amazon Affiliate which looks be from them but I had some feeling so I decided to ask Amazon. This post was not from them.

The reason I doubt the post was that I was asked to answer questions in a survey. I was ready for that but the first question was about my Amazon ID which was strange.

Good catch. When they ask for ID or any personal information, that's a clue to report them to Amazon or whom ever they claim to be from.
Thanks,
Jim

True.

Thanks for the info. Glad you didn't fall for it.

Thx for the information. There are a bunch of people out there who need to know how to get involved with WAU.

The rascals are everywhere- always be vigilant

Good on you for catching the rascals -- keep well, all the best, cheerio... :)

Thank you for the warning. I am with Amazon UK - and in due course the scammers tend to try their luck over here.

Those scammers are becoming too smart, the emails look so genuine

Exactly. That is the problem.

Hi Johann,
I also got a survey from Amazon asking for "store ID". I did answer it as it seemed "normal".

However, I found nothing to raise my concern except the "store ID" which I had none. If it was a scam or attempted thievery it never asked anything else that was personal like website or PW.

I can't say if this was a scam or not. However, I have had many e-mails from Amazon about "my order" which I never made.

I delete those as I am sure they will come up with "we lost your CC number please fill it in to complete the order" or something like that.

Johann thanks for sharing. We need to be careful.

I would, just for safety reason, contact Amazon direct now and let them know. Plus let your virus software check things for safety reason only, probably is ok. I believe they were after the ID.

Hi Johann,
Thanks for the tip, I will be cautious in the future.

I have had several if not many fake e-mails from "Amazon", in fact, I turned down a legitimate $100 gift card from them given by my eye doctor thinking it was a scam.

So you have to sort out the wheat from the chaff.

Bill

I believe that I got something similar to that but I went ahead and deleted it to save time and trouble. What did Amazon tell you to do about it? I am just wondering you don't have to tell me if you don't want to.

Best wishes
Marmar

They checked and let me know that they didn´t send it. Give me a guide if I had an answer or open it, and was very happy that I let them know.

They were great, in less than 3 minutes was all clear.

That is great news I appreciate you tell me that so now I know what to do if it happens again.

Best wishes
Marmar

Hello Johann, lol, I have received the same email. I have not opened it or taken the survey. Thanks for the warning, much appreciated.

Yes, it was very well done. In the style of the Microsoft/Galaxy trick. Luckily I stopped when I saw their question about my Amazon ID so nothing bad happened.

Hello Johann, I just completed it, but did not provide my Amazon ID.
