How can I get the Amora Theme to show as pictured on my title page? I have gone online and it looks like the header has to be 1920 x 500. How does on resize the header on my pa
You need to resize your picture using an image editor (like Photoshop). If you don't have one use this free online photo editor: https://www.canva.com/photo-editor/
Hi Louie,
I am not trying to apply a picture, I am just trying to get the theme to download properly.
You'll have to edit the image using an image editor outside of WordPress prior to uploading the media to your media library for use.

How do I get access to all of the themes with Premium? When I go to themes there are only several available.
Hi Norm,
Try publishing new posts now, it might add a different feel to your homepage.
Also, rework your menu to feature more menu items. Then you can play with other themes to see which one looks better.
Keep it up,
Louie
On the wordpress "Themes" page, clicking on "Add New" opens up the search function. That page allows you to search all of the themes available through the wordpress.org site.
Look at the bottom of the themes you see. Click on the blue box that has "Add Themes" in it. It will bring you to all the themes to choose from. At the top of the page, you will be able to filter the themes by Featured, Popular, Latest Favorites. Hope this helps!
Hi again,
How does one modify a homepage? As it stands it appears to be quite bare.
I originally used the Songwriter theme but it did not appear as it was shown on the choices. I switched to Amora and I am having the same issue. Do you have any suggestions?

As you create posted they will be listed on your home page. This is called the blogroll, make sure to set up your menus too.

Hi again
My original question was answered and they said that a font button had been placed on my edit page.
I can not find it..
My problem is that I create in Word an
It all boils down to formatting. Don't think that pasting stuff formatted in Word will make the pasted text look the same in WordPress. It doesn't work like that. Look at the WordPress editor as a true text editor, because that's what it is.
Also the font type used in your WordPress editor page won't probably be the same as in your published article page. And it probably never will, because that's not how it's meant to be.
To deal will pictures you will need to select which alignment you want so that the text will flow by their side more naturally.
Norm, all this stuff you're asking relates to operating with WordPress. Better than words and answers there are a ton of videos on YouTube to show you how everything is done plus there is the official WordPress.org site with a lot of documentation to help you. And, of course, there is also the documentation and support for each plugin you choose and install.
With that said (what I answered above), I don't mean you're asking too much or something like that (feel free to ask me anything!). I'm just mentioning resources that will help you way better than me. :)
I always do the typing first then I click into the beginning of a paragraph (before the first word) then Add Media. You can choose how you want the image aligned (left, right, center, none). This gives me total control over where the image sits.
When you're looking for a particular question go to the profile page of the person who asked it then click on Questions at the top of the page. If you asked the question then go to your profile page. Changing fonts is theme specific. There is also the Google Fonts plug-in that can be used to change fonts site-wide. (Fonts for all styles is defined in your sites' CSS, but if you're not familiar with editing it, best do it through a plug-in).
Are you referring to changing the font within your word press chosen theme? Or changing fonts for a WA blog post? In regards to your image situation, you can either ad photo first or type first. Doesn't really matter much since when inserting the image you are able to move it around the canvas by just clicking and holding on the image while you position it around the page.

I have added text to my website, pasting it from Word and some paragraphs paste differently even though I am using the same font and size in Word.
That has to do with how Microsoft Word does its text formatting. Don't do it like that. Just format your text on WordPress directly.
When you paste from a Word document use right-click "Paste as plain text" or paste it into the Text tab instead of the Visual tab. To have more control over your font use TinyMCE Change Fonts and More with Tiny Mice
