My team and I host a golf tournament for "sexual assault survivors", how does wealthy affiliate feel

You can certainly use the WA training to create a website for the golf tournament and even monetize it for fund raising. It's is probably inappropriate to get a blog going here unless it relates to WA.

You can create your own website (with a domain that you pick) and maybe have golf as your niche. You can also create a website that’s related to helping survivors of sexual assault while partnering up with sources that aim to do the same thing and you can start raising funds to help those who need it, or donate to a relatable charity.

Is it possible to change my website name? decided a different one would work better, thanks for any help.
If you are talking about your free http://siteruix.com website the domain name cannot be changed but you can delete it and create a new one.
How to delete and build different free website.
Menu Bar -> websites -> Site manager -> find your website
Look in lower right hand corner for "details" click on it.
Then scroll down and look in bottom left hand corner for "delete"
Click it.
To create a new one
Menu Bar -> websites -> Build Website -> Free website.
That is the advantage of starting with the free http://sitrubix.com website because it can be deleted.
If you purchase a dot com domain name it cannot be changed. You are the owner for a full year and can be renewed for same length of time. If you want a different domain name you must buy another dot com domain name. You cannot change a purchased domain name because of industry standards for domain name registrars.
If the URL of a dot com and made a mistake, you need to purchase a new domain.
If the URL of a siterubix subdomain, you can delete and start again, however I’d save my work in site content.
If title and tagline (Just another WordPress site), settings > general edit and save changes.
To delete a siterubix subdomain | dot com, click details on subdomain | dot com domain in question in site manager, onward next page scroll all the way to the bottom and click delete.

Choose a free domain, domain you own or register new, enter credentials and follow procedure.
If you are referring to a siterubix domain name, yes. You can change it. You domain name with a .com, .net,..org etc cannot be changed. You will have to purchase a new domain name. You can then transfer content to the new name and just abandon the old one if you don't want it.

It's very easy. Appearance >> Customize >> Site Identity. You can change title, tagline and site icon.
There's a menu in the left sidebar in your WP admin area. You should familiarize yourself with all those items, including Appearance.
