Netspend Account

So, having fast direct deposit on Netspend account can postpone your dreams even though you will get paydays 1 day sooner. On my way home from work, a long list of debits ate a hole in my pocket book. The ripple effect of my experience has been devastating.

Netspend Account

The response from the company as a customer was unsympathetic and it felt like they had no regard for my life or ability to use my own funds I worked hard for.

In this article, I have a couple of things to review as far as service, protecting your assets during a worldwide health crisis.

The Novel Coronavirus has made many people vulnerable to the economy shifting.

Imagine the things you may have had to do for the money:

  • stay on your feet on graveyard for more than 13 hours without adequate gear, food or rest
  • Stabbing people, then chasing after critical labs
  • bathroom function and hygiene #1 and #2 for people when you cannot yourself
  • Focus on measuring insulins and seizure medications while people are screaming profanity at you
  • Trying to have eyeballs on the back of your head to prevent people from falling
  • Lifting and people tetris (hoyer lifts) all night long
  • stress and pressure
  • potential for injury and increasing risk of infection
  • being bullied by patients or coworkers

All that hard earned money just slipping away anonymously!

Then I swiftly transferred the direct deposit into other accounts, but the disputed fraud charges will take weeks to process a refund "on another Netspend card"...

My heart sank, as the teller said he would walk me through bailing out a portion of my money, without regard to the idea that is not enough to pay the bills and feed this many people.

Within a flash, more debits started pouring money out of the account while I was withdrawing all that I could get frantically.

I wondered if I was delirious after working so hard all night, maybe this was a nightmare and I may wake up and this will all go away. CoVid2 would be a Netflix SciFi series and I would not have to lose so much sleep in all this pain just to get robbed. Hop in my Bugatti and drive into the sunset.

Pinch me to see if this is a bad dream!

The whole conversation was a threatening, mocking undertone and the Netspenders were really unimpressed by the fact nurses actually need to rest between these work marathons instead of driving to try to save their money out of the jam by daily limits of increments up to 1500$ and their inept and uncaring workers to do the following:

1) freeze the account and issue a new card, wait for funds to be transferred like a potentially vanishing promise

2) transfer money up to 1500$ from savings each day and tell you to hope you beat the thief's debits to the ATM

3) offer you options, none of which are fair or protect you or offer any reason as to why this scam is allowed to continue

4) take up your time and energy while your feet hurt so bad you can hardly stand and your eyes feel like sandpaper and mouth like tree bark with the mask of extended use suffocates with insurmountable effort for work of breathing.

5) make you find a drive through teller because all the face to face is closed due to pandemic plans-the ATM daily limit is 900$

6) speak to you like they take these calls from unsuspecting workers all day long

What Can Be Done?

Now, Wealthy Affiliates maybe wondering some actions you can take to avoid such a dilemma. I just was frantic to make sure the funds would be available to pay bills and feed a bunch of teenage boys and a 5 year old who never stop trying to eat a mom out of house and home...

Side tangent since the shelter in place house arrest orders changed the entire curriculum. Online from home with internet required for all of them and kids don't know how to let NOC shift mom nurses sleep.

Let me get on another little soap box rant, and tell you like your mom said wash your hands. There, now you know this is a real nurse talking. These red bottoms are bloody nursing shoes.

What can you do? Crying did not bring my money back. Embarrassment of admitting the ripple effect may be a repossessed car I just picked up from the collision center from the last time I tried to fit in too much between graveyards and the kids school cancellations.

Many scams and online risks are not shared because people don't want to admit it and share their story.

They wonder if it is more likely something they did rather than being a prime target for thieves. Well, if they are clever enough to highjack my funds like thieves in the night on my way home from work, maybe they can use those brains to invest in robotics and immunoglobulins or some other legitimate marketing plan.

How do you do your due diligence in this process of having your account hacked when you thought that would be a good way to accomplish transactions online?

  • Better Business Bureau-Rating
  • Online Reviews
  • Attorney General Consumer Complaint
  • Hire Personal Attorney
  • Research options to boycott offenders, maybe join a different credit union, use word of mouth to warn everyone of my experience...
  • Do not become silent in the face of adversity

I seriously would not recommend trusting your money to Netspend unless you have the time to dispute funds removed from your card.

At one point, I was also researching to give a review on Netspend Business card, which I am afraid I won't be activating that. Who needs another jacked up card anyway?

It makes me wonder if they target essential workers, how much is the scandal worth?

If you don't want to gamble with your money, try a different alternative than a Netspend Account. That is my best advice at the moment.

Rising Up To the Challenge

Recovering the funds and prevention of this misfortune will be a victory. For now, establishing resources and sending SOS smoke signals out, maybe we will be good. A few more contracts are possible tomorrow, which would be a good retainer fee and cover the cost for budget to get through the crisis.

The healthcare field has contingency measures in place. Checking your temperature, and asking about travel, symptoms and exposure. Workers can be sent home and quarantined with or without CoVid tests, and no sick pay or excused time off.

They can keep me in the lobby for starting a shift 30 minutes behind in order to get a "passing temperature", but the previous week just send you home for the next pay roll to release half a paycheck.

The point besides ranting is to realize my business focus, and help gather new contracts with a marketing plan. The open education project at Wealthy Affiliate has taught me a safety net of multiple income streams in that process.

I hope to hear in this discussion from our team, have you ever had mysterious debits clean out your account? What are you working on in business to prevent relying on one source of income?

Thank you so much for reading Nurse Becca Blogs♧◇♡♤☆

An update that the funds will partially be returned in a couple of days. The company can quickly verify fraud, then based on user activity the funds determined as likely theft are refunded quickly. The final amount is not the total of what was taken from me in the ordeal, so it will require more follow-up. The good news is part of the money is accounted for.

If there are questions whether the Netspenders are accountable or required to help with the highjacked funds, it can take up to 10 days. The company can request your evidence of the allegations of fraud activity on your account that you have 10 days to produce proof. Then if that is not received, they have an additional 45 days to decide whether to appease the dispute.

Here is the promise to refund part of your money note:

It was not complicated to issue complaint with Federal Trade Commission. In the process, you can provide a civic benefit by helping build protection with rules and awareness of less than fantastic fraud.

Hopefully, this ordeal will resolve soon. I feel very fortunate for all your support and input on this discussion.

I just popped in to see how you are doing. Not too good it sounds like.

Is Netspend a type of bank account? I had never heard of them before.

I saw you comment to Jeff that you have not gotten any money back. Hopefully it will be returned soon.

Yes, it is a prepaid account. Apparently not good quality. They approved my dispute for part of the money, 599$ that still hasn't been returned and no promise for the rest of my money.

Becca, so nice to see you again. I know it must have been brutal, if thats a strong enough term, these past weeks. I've been cleaned out before and it wasn't pleasant. Fortunately, I've been banking with the same institution for longer than I care to remember. After a deep dive into the charges, the bank realized this was out of the norm for my spending habits. Eventually, I recouped most of what was lost. Since then, I've taken measures to limit exposure while creating a few different income streams.

Thanks for all you do Becca
Greg

Brilliant! It is reassuring to hear from people who went through this and got their money back. I'm working on recovery as well. I knew account hackers are slimy little terds but this was shocking to me. I'll never forget the way they treated me and the pain yes brutal describes it. How frequently this happens, they should have a better remedy and prevention plan. And now I know I have to figure that out myself. And call the electric company, my car loan people, figure out how to go about paying insurance and phone. And then convince the troops to ration making sure they don't snarf up all the food too fast. I get to keep my Wealthy Affiliate membership because I paid yearly fees, so at least my websites are alive.
Thank you Gnoose, I can't do much right now but find a safer way to do business.

I know of this young lady who has started making, marketing and selling cute little touchy feely things. She does all of this thru FB and is making a very respectable income. She does anything from hand made personalized travel mugs, to glasses, baby apparel and a host of other things too many to mention. Just another idea of a person with vision making it and having fun at the same time.

Greg

Wow that does sound luke fun

So Netspend didn't find any of this suspicious? That all of these transactions occurred on the 24th? I find this suspicious that Netspend didn't notice it 🤔

I know this is the last thing you need during a time like this with your busy life, Becca. I hope you're able to resolve this.

Isaiah 😊

I am with you. I think I caught it before they did. Thank you much, you're totally right very bad time for these shenanigans

Hi NurseBecca. Lovely to read your post once again. I knew that you would be busy with this pandemic but not misused as well!

I'm sorry for the dilemma you are going through. I got scammed late last year and had to block my card and request for a new one. Fortunately all transactions made were unsuccessful. The bank reacted quickly.

I often wonder if those offenders have a heart. Take courage and stay safe NurseBecca. We are in need of you.

Carol

I don't think they do! ...you have a good one though💝 thank you so much

Hi Becca, not fun. I had a recent circumstance of somebody hacking my credit card but my money came back fairly quickly. Even though it is your money the golden rule always seem to stick. "the one with the gold rules." They unfortunately all do it there own way. i think patience is a virtue.
Take care
Stephen.

How rude! Why do they get away with this? If they are clever and manipulative enough for this why don't they put it to good use...or play cards in jail. This nurse ain't playing
