Little Red Toyette, Federal Bureau of Investigations Cyber Unit, Federal Trade Commission Regarding
Attention all Affiliates! Red alert, red alert. This Ditty of a Red Toyota has some pep and probably is a good midlife crisis car. Sporty and yet good on gas. Not too busy of a dash and the Uber connect to the car was a cute guy in a cool truck. I wondered if I could just take them both with me for the road trip. No such luck, but I did manage to plan a podcast debut and this blog on my way in the little red Toyette.
Let's talk about the storm in my brain, under grey rain clouds with a red streak of Nurse Becca thunder and lightning across the country side.
The FBI has a unit to investigate cyber fraud and these types of consumer complaints. The Federal Trade Commission is a resource for international fraud affairs. I was told by someone I dearly respect that Wealthy Affiliate is using me to build their brand. By my spending my time blogging here, while paying membership, I am wasting time and money I could spend on my own website. Current members have warned me of a similar situation with draining time and energy here at Wealthy Affiliate forking over my valuable expertise. Instead of making my site a good reflection of what is possible for my pocketbook.
It is okay if you want to throw money at me for all my valiant effort, HA! It is not enough of a bribe to tell me all the riches in the world would fall from the sky quicker than monkeys flying out of my butt that is sore from romping the little red Toyette. Noooo, I did not floor it pedal to the metal driving like a bastard. It just gets a little butt hurt no matter how much tush padding for a trip that far in econocars.
Every blog I write here is for the benefit of the team, and can benefit others as they investigate opportunities online.
Does it have an ROI?
When searching for scams and spam promoting websites, I would look for how long an organization has been in business. Look at the caliber of constituents. Find out if there are consumer complaints, asking whether they are being addressed or even valid. The Better Business Bureau is a good resource for local research. Nationallt, the FBI does this duty for America. Rating business internationally, you just have to look at the Federal Trade Commission tracking. I do not see consumer complaints in the millions for WA.
Rank is more than a number
People are more than numbers! Think about using a pulse oximeter to check oxygen saturation. What if the device reads 100% but the person attached has blue lips??? You cannot go by just that one number
to determine respiratory status!
Just as this is true, you cannot judge based upon member rank alone.
Are Wealthy Affiliates scammers, spammers or guilty of other mayhem? Perhaps individually a person could peddle inappropriately who is registered here. Yet, the overall organization of Wealthy Affiliate is an opportunity for growth in any niche.
I would like to thank you, those who read this blog answer to arrest concerns regarding being taken advantage of by Wealthy Affiliate. I have never entertained this idea even though being wrongfully banned feels battered. It was resolved promptly by Kyle. When I was the one making the mistakes that got me banned, I ask myself why should I deserve this platform aside from paying for it and patriotism? Because I agreed to make certain in effort and intent not to publish content that is questionable or rude, spammy or crude.
I would not want to name the person accusing Wealthy Affiliate of being a platform robbing all guests of their 49$ to selfishly build their own brand, because it made me feel like they wanted to protect me from being taken advantage of, and that person is very popular compared to me.
Let me tell you, everything you do supports your brand as well as all you affiliate with.
Just think if I duct taped a hamburger to the ceiling of the little red toyette with a graffiti of Wealthy Affiliate. I would never, but come on what would you think if it showed up like that at your rental? A brand spanky new little sports car with a stinky cheese and pickle hamburger, how rude? Who are these Wealthy Affiliates and why did they send a nurse to do this awful crime against humanity? Oh, it is registered under this other company, oh my gosh good golly they are all rotten cheeseburger mongers.
Okay, that is a silly illustration of how you can be guilty by association on tarnishing a brand. I am not making fun at the person who contacted me to express their concern of Wealthy Affiliate taking advantage of members. It is a valid concern. But, I decided not to ask Google for the answer to this.
What I would like to do is ask the masses here. Do you feel it is a blessing or a burden to be here? What value have you found for the price you pay?
Do you think it's unsavory having others promote your brand? Do you reap rewards from your rank other than black trophy icon to become an Ambassador?
Are Wealthy Affiliates some form of cyber trench coat mafia? Or a tried and true standard of care for your own business?

22/01/2019 and I knew zip,nada,squat,zilch,nil pointe,nothing. Weighed up and paid up. Looked up and forward but never looked back. Thought, wrote, written, right. Swamped Google page One, two, three, four. All for less than a dollar a day and no more.
You definitely have the gift for gab and a way with words. You hit the nail on the head...I tend to believe you are a product of your environment. If you surround yourself with good energy and positive vibes that is how you'll grow. I love the community here at WA.

I agree with you and everyone else that WA is a perfectly legit place and probably THE best place for someone starting out in affiliate marketing. I had joined another platform prior to WA and within 2 days they were trying to upsell and the costs were crazy! It would have cost me thousands of dollars jsut to get to level 3 of their training.
What you get at WA is far superior to what I briefly experienced elsewhere and at a small fraction of the cost. Where else would you get this level of training, the amount of training and of course, the support you get, not only from other members but from sitesupport with any technical issues.

I didn't know what you were talking about in some points of this article, but it was funny (except the parts I didn't understand; forgive my slowness), but despite that, these are some great questions and great insight coming from you.
I personally believe that WA is DEFINITELY looking out for us. During my time spent in research on other entrepreneurial programs there are very few that offer a wealth of help, insight, and money saving advice like WA. I AGREE with you. This is one of the most (if not the best) affordable and sincere platforms around.
Other platforms (not all of them, but the MAJORITY of them) usual do EXPENSIVE upsells - a sales technique where a seller induces the customer to purchase more expensive items, upgrades or other add-ons in an attempt to make a more profitable sale - ways to keep you constantly spending money (besides the membership that you already payout monthly; making their pockets bigger and yours smaller) in order to build a well constructed and profitable website.
In other words, building a website can be extremely more costly than here at WA; especially if you do not do your research and figure out ways to get around an item being upselled through a particular website for well over $250 just to be able to move on with the next step in building your website. WA has very little, hardly any upsells - and they're not RIDICULOUSLY expensive - in order to make your website well constructed and successful and I admire them for that! I can't even express my appreciation! The training on this platform is much more organized and easy to follow than the majority of other platforms...not speaking against those that are pretty legit; but I'm finding out on a personal level that WA IS WHERE ITS AT! Just like you, I also look at how long WA has been running and I also look at the success of the others here on this platform. Not everyone has arrived yet, but there are many who have. That says it all right there!
Wealthy Affliliates (WA) is definitely wealthy in great personalities, hard workers, like myself and you, and those with plenty of wisdom to pass on to us little guys and newbs. Everything that we do here is to benefit not only ourselves, but each other. And of course WA is getting something out of it! Why not!?
The more you do for others in sincerity the greater your return! I know that WA has done so much for us (and still doing) out of a genuine love to want to see people succeed that they should definitely receive a big portion of the money pie! And I can also see clearly that Wealthy Affiliates is not all about the "Benjamins."
I'm sure many will agree!
WA is really a place that looks out for the little people and their pockets!

I think that Becca is saying a lot of good things about WA, I think you read something that I didn't catch. Memorylaneuk I think that what Becca is saying is WA is the place to be. She has been here at WA for 5 years and she writes in a very educated style of writing. She said a lot of good things about said that not one complaint has been filed against WA and it has a ranked 1st with the BBB. Becca loves WA as I do and you better read this article again. Hey Becca and I hope you are well, your article is a deep read, but I can see how Memorylaneuk took your article in the wrong way, but after reading Twack's articles your is easy for me to get your meaning. I find this post very worrying. I have been with WA for nearly two years and it is worth every dollar.
I have been away from the forum for a while due to my parents ill health and have had to use my time for my website rather than reading and listening and learning and caring here.
Though not nice to say I am glad I have missed any of this silly nonsense.

I had to read her article twice in order to understand where she was coming from because I was worried, too, at first. She was saying good things about WA and just trying to strike up a conversation within the community about what other's experiences are here and if they agree or not with the person who told her that she was wasting her time and money here.

Thank you for getting that idea, I guess it ain't quite clear. I tried to use less brainy words like septum pellucidum to separate people from understanding. I was thinking about seeing how many likes I can get people who always read my little ditty missions to fight rare disorders, and affiliates who know because they enjoy the endeavor as well as benefits of this platform. Then send the reply to the one trying to protect me from being bullied or taken advantage of...

Hi Becca - You can put me down in the "blessing to be in WA" column. At times it can be a confusing,confounding blessing but that is just part of the learning curve and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'm still picturing the cheesy pickle burger duct taped to the rental cars headliner. In my fantasy, the rent a car people don't spot it and the car goes out with a new victim. This unsuspecting soul gets a few miles down the road when they're overcome with a sudden unexplainable craving. All they can think about is "I gotta find me a Burger King!" . Would make a great fast food commercial.
I wonder which Ad Agency would consider that pitch.....
