Keywords: Semantics or Statistics?

Keyword research does not have to feel like space travel.

But you will see Kaju above dressed like rocket man on the moon. He was going to play a song on his guitar with the antigravity he can rock it so far out.

But his guitar flew away before he got the chance. While he looks for it, we can continue the contemplation of keywords. Are keywords all about semantics or statistics?

Wealthy Affiliate guides members with advice to focus on one keyword, and designing SEO for highest possible Google ranking based on that phrase.

Great Wealthy Affiliate Leaders all talk about the purpose of relevancy within your target audience. When Google ranks a thousand keywords on your post, these other keywords are not the main driver of your traffic.

The purpose of this discussion is not to argue semantics or statistics, but to further investigate Kaju's question of why we are indeed instructed to focus on a single keyword phrase rather than a list of them.

The main idea is to use critical thinking, tailoring your keywords to focus on those which pertain to your article in a way that will attract guests on the purchasing end of the customer life cycle. That is closer to the time when the consumer converts to actively buying your products and services.

This does not have to be rocket science.

But I agree with Kaju that what many would consider overthinking in some aspects, is actually considered critical thinking.

And it does require effort toward ongoing research.

The truth is keyword research is both a matter of semantics and statistics and the relevance to your potential fans.

Shifting words and numbers to prove your point.

Would changing a single word make more people view your post?

In many cases, that is not the best question to ask.

Would changing a keyword phrase attract more people who would be enthusiastic about your brand?

A single keyword phrase is an important focus for each post because it helps to relate to the reader. When the phrase is compelling, and reflects the combination of search the user enters. To provide the best UX (User Experience), the person who types and clicks on the most appealing option to investigate must not be disappointed.

The writing is clear and engaging and flows naturally, pop ups are not intrusive, along with a bot which pops up to further aggravation. 404 codes are minimal and the writing has a font that is easy to read.

When we contemplate more in depth about the links within content that helps explain the story in a logical chronology, as well as a balanced amount of external links which do the same:

It makes sense.

To the one visiting your site, the brand stands out as trustworthy.

Keeping the balance, and understanding is a process acquired through active learning. The web universe relies on this to weave the fabric of our community.

We are the people who built this system. It is ever changing toward preference of those who respect and adapt, as well as take the creator reigns.

Kaju is building his cyber city on rock and roll! He will find his space guitar, delivered with an infusion of hope. This is all like a comic book imagery where the cure for his paralysis is an infusion tailored along with a Tesla technology Robot oxygenating his nerve cells at the motochondrial level...it evolved into super power magnetic force which made the instrument affix a lightning storm out of his guitar that the electrochemical forces made a fireworks explosion clear from the moon that rocked the legends of rock and roll out of their graves. They appeared as Grateful Dead in a Symphony, not like zombies but a vision heavenly beyond this Earth that ricocheted off the clouds and made a sound so beautiful that even people who are born deaf can hear like an angelic orchestra.

Okay maybe a little bit too carried away, but if I haven't lost you yet, stay tuned for the grand finale!

Imagine learning the process as Kaju describes, he is totally right because contemplating the root of the problem opens up new avenues for adapting to new challenges. Taking each as an opportunity.

I hope you like my argument on Semantics & Statistics💝

With Love,

Nurse Becca

Well done Nurse Becca.

In this business where competition is basically on semantic skills, it is important to understand the basis of keywords.

It is more or less the bait and has to be seen and used as such. If the bait does not attract, the hook will not catch any fish.

I wish everyone all the best.

Nice post NnurseBecca,

As Jay has pointed out, it's not so much the "keyword", but what exactly your readers are looking for "specifically" (Their Intent). Once you've mastered that, they'll land, and keep coming back.

To critically think about your customers "intent", isn't exactly listening to "THEM".

Our challenge is not to alter the tide, but to guide it.
I hope this helps.

NnurseBecca - Congrats on another super Post. You are out of this world...

Great imagery of Kaju in this post. lol

I am a huge believer in critical thinking. I do like your argument and tend to agree with it.

Personally, I am moving towards trusting my gut instinct as to what will be helpful for my readers. I write for them first. Afterwords, I do my keyword research and some Google searches to see if there are other things that I need to include in my article.

Finally, at the end - I write my title and re-write my first paragraph to make sure that I incorporate the best keyword phrase possible that fits what I have written about.

Based on Google search console results, it seems to be working.

I hope that you have a wonderful week.

I am impressed Becca! Keywords play an important part, but I still say that gut grabbing content wins every time.
Great post as usual.
Joe

Great post..keywords are the juice that propels people to your site..you're so right. All the best.

Hi Becca - Thanks for this "critical thinking" msg. Also, I found your Grand Finale succinct and inspiring! I like to think of Kaju as a genuine "outta the box" kind of thinker.

Me too! 💝 welcome my pleasure

Hey, careful about putting him on a pedestal, it will inflate his ego, LOL. His post was truly engaging. Yes, agreed critical thinking skills are needed to run a business as we can get carried away and lose our focus like you said.

Right!:) I know I got carried away but I am just totally excited ha a new opportunity just hit a hole in one with an interview today. Half way through my post I did an important conference. Then I started daydreaming about imaginary immunoglobulins for Kaju to rock the universe. The critical thinking part was before I was offered a chance of a lifetime sorry if i squeak eeeeeeeeeeeks! I have been wanting this one amazing career move since 2012😍😍😍
Ok I gotta settle down, and start getting packed for Gooding and Oregon this week💝

Ha Ha. Hope He finds his guitar. Thanks.
