"It's Not A T-Mobile Problem" Phone Scam (The Buck Stops Here)
This is on my mind today just a mini rant!

"Please text me" auto response...see screenshot:
Called Sherry at T-Mobile.
This is an actual scam the hackers highjack a phone number they are able to use.
"It's not a T-Mobile Problem,"
Sherry said.
I have every highjacked phone number on a list.
And today with just enough priceless information, I had to share with Wealthy Affiliate.
I feel if one person gets scams and spams that I could have prevented, then I have not served well. We create a beautiful community together. If your phone, computer, accounts or identity are misused, we all suffer.
Polite reply: the Consumer Complaint Form I am looking at clearly states T-Mobile and here the buck stops. If T-Mobile can accept my business of well over $ 20,000...I have record of each payment and phone, accessory and feature. How is that Not Their Problem? If they are going to be entrusted as a banking instutition soon? They are accountable just as we all are.
Yes, Spam and Scams can get to us from many sneaky ways.
Sherry went over common scams and ways to keep your information secure on the internet.
Not clicking on things from unknown sources and common sense stuff, you can enable some form of Adblocker and avoid creepy old apps.
The point is still that the buck stops here.
How would you explain if you're taken advantage of online? People are embarrassed and who has the time or really deal with additional stress?
How many scams go unreported
It is still an important part to report, just as we push the report spam button if people are sending annoying spam or other unsavory actions on Wealthy Affiliate. Some people who are targeted are disabled or on a fixed income. The crooks study the psychology of this digital thievery.
And make too much money from it.
The Federal Trade commission is the resource for reporting scammy spammers.
Porting scams are reported by Experian in which phone numbers are stolen then gain access to your data then contact your phone company to report your phone stolen. Then they port or route to a different phone and mobile company. Then get into everything verify with code sent to the hot device.
It is important to report action that is suspicious, keep record and take care. This diligence can prevent the next guy from harm's way.
That is one way to help the problem; preventing yourself and others from becoming a victim. That's how the buck stops here.
It is disturbing people work to make a legitimate living while others manipulate the sales psychology negatively, using tactics like:
Romance
Family Emergency
Bail out
Phone Scams
Loan Sharks
Scholarshipping scams
Cryptocurrency
Human Trafficking
Death Threat
Facebook Sniper Hustle (This is a new one, anyone using other people pictures to make them old beyond dirt get black tar leaking from their cell phone...) okay but seriously, the problem is such that we're charged with working together to collaborate for prevention.
Then some will be spared the crisis of identity theft and a pid suffering that painful misfortune. Especially if there is s family
Our neighbor was called to bail an aunt out of jail and she was ready to fall for it when someone told her it was a scam. She saved herself 3000 dollars a crazy amount for a confused person to be taken advantage of. It is a tragedy. I hope we work together. Please share in comments your resources for reporting and preventing cyber injustice...

They are getting more inventive, yet I can still smell a scam from a distance for sure. Anything to do with banking or any other personal service It is usually a scam since those would expect me to go not from their link but the one through the companies website.
Using Verizon and several other banking services for over 20 years makes it easy to notice the scam.
I have reported to my State Attorney General and get forms off the state website. Also, if it's egregious enough will also send to the BBB so it shows on their logs.

Oh my goodness, that is very kind of you! Thank you so much.... I don't think they are all that obvious. I'm sure it's like any other business, the top 3% of scammers are egregoriously sneaky and despicable or the bottom 3% I can't think about this too hard lol. I'm just glad to be on this team with you. My last project I just got published on video for HEN Affiliates. I like working with these kind of people. Not the ones who wrinkle people's faces it should be outlawed.

How do we apply the word TEAM to the process of the lifestyle of everyday living? Very simple
There are two ways that we apply the word team to our everyday lifestyle and living:
physically
and
mentally
How do we apply team physically? We volunteer to lend a helping hand and help out other on projects and task, even if it is something just as small as holding something. That holding something, may not seem like much to you, but it may be priceless to them. Don't ever underestimate how valuable your help or assistance is. - in the same return ask for help from someone else, you never know what them have have that you can use.
How do you apply team in the mental aspect. Through the process of brainstorming, the sharing of thoughts ideas, information, education. Some of the smallest though processing ideas have some of the most brain power ideas the mind has ever seen. It is an awesome and amazing experience to see what the powers of life holds before us.
Here is the thing about understanding the power of the human brain, though process, and what levels the mind can perform at. There is a big difference between the use of something that has been provide to you buy natural form, and the abuse of something. Using brain power to benefit the better good of human nature of other people is always a helping hand, however we all need to pull together as a team to avoid the abuses that are affecting the lifestyles of human nature.
How do we do that? How do we solve the problem of the abuse of something? We come together as a TEAM
The though process of one person, plus the though process of another person, plus another and another, and so on - all pulled and put together, creates the use of brainstorming ideas and transformation.
There is no shame in asking for help. Did you know that some of the greatest masterminds in the world ask for help, and do know why? Because they want and value the help, input and advice from other people, no matter who they are or what walk of life there are from - they have value for it. There maybe ideas that you have that I don't have, that can have the potential to create something that is beyond belief or measure.
There is nothing wrong with putting great minds together to benefit the lifestyle of health, wealth, love and happiness, however doing so in an abusive manner is not why we have that gift. We have that gift to share and benefit each other.
You never know when someone may need a leading hand, but they are not the type of person that will ask for help. Someone that takes that extra step to lend a helping hand, whether or not it may be needed or not needed, may add more value than you realize.
The question remains how do we turn this around and solve the problem? TEAM work everyone comes together as one. There might be a thought that one person is not going to make much of a difference - one the other hand, you might be surprised has to how much of a difference that one person can make. Because for every one person that does care and lends a helping hand for the team, there is one more person that is being added to that group. When you have a group of minds that come together as one in harmony, you can have the power to move mountains, you can have the power to go to the most unbelievable places that has never before been reached. One person does make a difference because each time one person gets added to the group, that is one person that wasn't there before, that is an extra mind power that wasn't there before, that one mind power may have a process needed to complete that one piece of the puzzle - never underestimate the power of the human brain.

I sent the video eeeks i hope it turned out good I have been working at it improving skills. It is a screencast of powerpoint on google slides you can use either google slides or the screencast to make closed captions, the Google ones seem to stay out of the way of visual aids. I was thinking about starting it all over but Erin loved it enough to publish it. Lilah wrote a note for her new book Erin signed for her

I have Sprint now. I switched from T-Mobile years ago. Sprint has an extra check in when you call them with an issue. They require you to verbally confirm your six digit pin # before they can access your information or do anything with your account on their end. They are locked out without that extra PIN #, just giving a phone # is not enough.
I would not do business with any phone or cellular company that does not have this extra layer of security to weed out scammers.
I went to T-Mobile to support my oldest daughter's first job with Qualfon and it has been a hole in the pocket. Maybe I sound like a frugal hermit. I just happen to think you pay for service so they should invest in putting a stop to the shrug where they acted like they couldn't own any part of the problem. I told them I'd hire someone to figure it out but I pay T Mobile to help out.
NnurseBecca - Good info for you're Post. The scams are getting more prevalent than ever and as long as they go undeterred they will continue to increase. So it is up to us to try to slow them down when we can.
Well can I ask them for full name, address and phone number? If they don't tell me they will probably try to scam me! If they tell me, I will tell me I will call them later and do a checkup on them!

People trying to scam us has become a way of life. When I block a phone number, that same person appears on a new one. It is so easy to change numbers these days.
I never answer my phone unless I recognize the number as one that I want to respond to. Otherwise I do not answer and let the caller leave me a message. Most often it is not what I want so I delete it.

I delete as many as 50 spam messages a day and report a good portion of those as phishing emails. Does it do any good? Don't know but it makes me feel better and only takes a couple of clicks of the mouse.
All calls to my phone are blocked except for maybe three numbers. The message on my voicemail explains that I'm currently out time-traveling and will return their call yesterday. It's pure entertainment to listen to some of the messages left on voicemail. :-)
It burns me that I have to pay for the phone but those morons are the ones that get to use it the way they want to. If it weren't for being readily accessible for my kids, I wouldn't even have one of the infernal things.
