It is kind of hard to get steps in on lock down. Whether you're on house arrest or just bored, please try to beat the record. I hope you will post a goal below.

PS I am alive!

Love,

Nurse Becca

Each and every day that you wake up, you are taking steps, whether those steps be mental or physical, you are taking steps of some type, and they could also apply both mentally and physical working together in unity.together with you working as one.

When you take steps mentally with your mind, you take steps to build your dreams your future your purpose your passion your goals your lifes mission not only are you building your purpose but you are also building the purpose of others as well, you may not think it, but you are.

When you take steps physically, you are building your body both physically as well as endurance.

When exercise is often thought of, it is often thought of as hours at the gym, or training for a marathon, or having the feeling that you must take special time out of your day to do certain things. However if these certain things are things that you enjoy doing and you don't feel like you are taking special time to do so, by all means, continue to explore down your path, because then it's not special time, it's time that you enjoy. The fact is, we all take steps each and every day and don't even realize that we are even doing so.

Exercise does not have to be anything that you feel as if you have to work for. In fact exercise should be fun and enjoyed. If spending hours in the gym and running a marathon is your way of enjoyment, continue, and feel free to explore. but if that is not your thing then let's take a look at some other forms of "exercise" options.

What does exercise have to do with steps? Because that is basicly what exercise is, just a looking at it from a different perspective. When you are taking steps, when you are walking, you are indeed exercising. Standing is exercise, it does not appear so, but it is, because muscle are being used to hold your posture and position up.

Here are a few things that you can do to add extra steps:
taking the stairs instead of the elevator,
riding a bike instead driving a car,
will park on the other end of the parking lot, or even park in the next parking lot over, so I can add a few extra steps.
**standing** is an exercise. Here is the reason why standing is an exercise. Your muscles are being used to hold your position up.

You exercise mentally as well as exercising physical. How do you exercise mentally by taking those same steps but in a mental process, the more you challenge yourself in a mental prospecive / aspect, the more you are exercising your brain, the more steps you are taking.

Always keep in mind, your brain and your stomach have alot in common, your stomach needs to take a break from eaten to process, your mind and your body needs to also take some take some time to process, a break on occasion is not a bad thing, because whenever you take a short break, and you go back, not only are you ready, reenergized, and refreshed, but you are also stronger than you were when you started.

Steps are always the best plan of action, because steps keep everything in sequence and moving together in harmony.

Thank you Nurse Becca for information us of counting our daily steps.

Sincerely,
Ronnie

Just Great, I get 6000 to 7000 steps a day in cooperation with my treadmill when we have inclement weather. Under the present conditions it is everyday now. I get 1.5+ miles on the treadmill and the rest is moving about the condo. It helps with the boredom & stress of being cooped in. WA does take one's mind off all the lovely news out there and some of it is really true. You all have a good day, what jail cell number are you in by the way. By the way, if you haven't seen it Edwin just recommended a book Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I downloaded on my Kindle yesterday and it is a completely different approach to follow. There is a lot of repetition but it was written around 1922, but still applied to today's needs of being Successful. I have only read about 3 chapters.

Can you go out and walk around the block a few times to get your steps up? I should monitor my steps. I bet I do a lot more than I realize walking in and out of doctor offices, hospitals and dialysis clinics everyday.

We here in NJ and especially my town which is the epicenter for covid-19 in NJ, residents are supposed to stay at home. But going out for a walk or run is not a problem as long as you can remain 6 ft from people.

You can do it:) i had a NJ case for legal nurse consulting. They just opened up to accept compact state licensure from Idaho last year. Keep up steps and boom that rang

Becca,
Glad you are alive AND you are a live wire!
Life is WAy better because you are stirring things up in a good way.
Over here in northwestern Arizona, a little below Kingman, people's yards are 1 or more acres. Plenty room to get out.

It's springtime now and we just had 3 weeks of rain. Wow so much rain I wondered if this really was Arizona?
It's good to be outside now. Better than when it snaps to 110 degrees or more for a couple months in a row.
Then, I'd be staying inside if I could, using the treadmill, the swamp cooler, and the drink holder.
Or switch to the AC when sticky icky monsoon season appears.
Thank you Becca and all the best to you,
Suzay
