Cyber Strobe

I missed you all while I was away. I've been checking in when I can, and am excited to bring you this update. Discovery of the cyber strobe cell glitch was the crowning jewel of my accomplishments. This is my longest stretch of not writing blogs for WA or my website in the past year. I found something worse than the black screen of death, courtesy of my 4-year-old.

God, she's cute. A sight for sore eyes.

After a long jaunt chasing immunoglobulins again, I returned home to greet a little princess Lilah Grace. She was so excited to see me, and went fishing in my pocket for gummy bears or some other treat. My phone crashed to the pavement with a shatter on the concrete. Then a disco dance commenced between me and the cyber strobe. The light tweaked and flittered, intermittently letting me get a peak at the onslaught of uh oh's. I could not see the buttons, and had to close my eyes and guess.

Then the replacement phone came and salvaging data gave me split ends on my eyelashes. An update set biometrics to a password, and no combination would unlock it like Fort Knox. I could still receive calls, and check my voicemail, plus see texts if I happened to be looking when they popped up. I didn't miss the better get documents in by Monday or else you're fired-fired-fired!

Now for more monkey business, I had to go to a special store called U break I Fix. In the process of fogging my goggles, the phone supposedly had to be reset to factory settings, thus deleting all the pictures from my roadtrips for your weird nurse becca blog jibbas. And other priceless work. It can all be redone, at oh-dark-thirty.

When you have to save things on a laptop or other device, they can usually restore your information, this time that was successful for data up to the last back up. Yes, you can back up your documents into the clouds for emergency purposes. It helps protect you from the black screen of death sucking the life out of your data like a black hole bottomless pit of web cookie monsters.

The damaged phone revived and immediately resumed it's light display that makes blinking like a fluorescent tie die. Cracked screens are a terrible thing in many ways. As a nurse, I know the phone germs, remote control and other hand held devices are a vector for carrying germs, but never thought of the ophthalmology end of the danger until this whole ordeal.

I also never knew there is a store made just for fixing cracked screens and stuff like that. They even had the correct protection cover to fit my phone. (My cell company sold me one that was a little too big and it broke). I should have hopped on here to look for Wealthy Affiliate members who have an Amazon thingy for cell phone whatchamacallits. Before it broke. Hind sight is always 20/20 but instead of regret, I rather help you crack this code.

The phone took a long time to transfer the data, then I went on another cover trip up north. By the time I made it to the hotel, it was the middle of the night, and I went to the check in to greet an are you crazy face. The reservation was mistakenly scheduled for the next weekend, and by the way we are full.

Thankfully, I found a hotel but the wee hours of the morning was a sorta fright in a busy town on a Friday night. The new hotel had showers that looked like a nursing home. I seriously looked around for a call bell. Oh well, it was a very comfortable bed. Then I met a couple of the most amazing people whose stories I wish I could tell to you right now. Out of respect and kindness, and law abiding, I will leave it at this-some of the most inspiring people I have met aside from my kids, are my patients.

Along the way, I began my new contract, a main gig position. As I told nurse bloggers, there are no side hustles for me. It is all part of the main gig of service. Going out of your way to help others and paying it forward is the real main gig.

For all the networking and community here, I want to save you time through what I learned by rather taking the long route. You can install find my phone on your phone with a remote unlock. This feature allows you to open up from the inside in the event that you ever get locked out of a Fort Knox Phone, the phenomenon of Lost Your Luck Lost Screen was more frightening than the cyber strobe and the black screen of death.

Hopefully the BSOD never happens to you, or if it does the answer is just a plug and charge then Bingo back to working. If your phone experiences these glitches, don't panic. Or cuss like a sailor. Take it one step at a time.

All devices have fragile screens, and so many of us do not realize we are reliant upon technology. "I wouldn't store my whole life on my phone," said a guy passerby who saw me crying at the fix it store. I don't think he may realize the penalty of missing, incomplete, or substandard documentation for nurses. Even worse, for patients.

But I won't get on my soap box, just to let you know. The geek squad , bless their brains and hearts, have notified me that there is an update that can lock your phone. Not just forgetting the screen lock password. That is what I thought could have happened, but it turns out a recent update has enabled device antitheft protection in a lot of phones. If you do not want to end up sending yours back to the manufacturer, this blog might be of some help.

If you want to, you can enable remote unlock and boom, problem solved. Furthermore, go ahead with the backups, just realize it may not save all your most recent information. It also syncs in a programmable fashion.

You can set to sync up every 15 minutes to have everything your working on frequently saved.

Take your time researching the best backup to fit your needs. If you have volumes and hoarding those baby photos it is time to reorganize. I thought of having separate phones for each use. Keeping the kids out of the work phone altogether. Okay, that is the best advice, but I know I wouldn't be so driven to work at my best, just for my family. You only get 2 eyeballs, and one family. A phone should not determine our existence or employability, but yes we are highly accountable for these unforeseen mishaps. Technology or luck won't get me down for long.

Along with all this we beat the back to school blues with cool backpacks up the wazoo.

I just want you all to know I missed my Wealthy Affiliate family, and share this knowledge with you. Don't let cracked phones crack your faith. Or anything else get in your way. I wrote a forty-eight-paged creation since my silent stretch here, this one to honor my patients, family and friends. It may not be a typical manuscript, but would make a great chapter. And it is safe and accessible in the clouds, so: up-yours-cyber-strobe.

Thank you for reading and commenting...I might make a how to video if people are interested on enabling remote unlock or any other ideas from this blog.

Kind Regards,

Nurse Becca

Welcome back,
Your post enabled me to feel I was actually living your experience, it created a very visual situation..
Thank you so much for the tips and guidance, so easy to store our life on our mobile only to have a catastrophic experience like the one you mentioned, that in the event your Mobile/cell is damaged and there is no retrieving, the geeks may then say say those words “we will have to re-set to manufacturers original settings” 😱

Thank you for taking the time to share 👍

Hey there! You're quite welcome of course. I have been through a lot of tech problems but this one takes the cake. Then the saga continues, note S pen got stuck in the device and I had to swap it for the cracked phone. In the process I kept wondering how they can make such hassle of problems for customers. If it works well, I buy more stuff. I wrote a note about the s pen to Samsung. It was funny because I called and had been put on hold. When he answered the phone he heard a loud drill like helloooo!? Then I said I was trying to drill the dang thing out of there. He started laughing and said he would not advise me to do that but just go back to the guys I already cried on the other day. It was a pain in the butt. When you need the pen for signing and it gets stuck, it is a bummer. 😲

Oh my, that is complete madness, but am laughing at the same time because the image is quite funny, although I realise it was a very unfunny moment for you....🤨
Hope the tech issues are (at the very least) somewhat resolved, without gaining another...🤓x

As we all know we go through four seasons a year, We start out with January: winter spring, summer, fall. We go through these four seasons for a reason and for a purpose. What is that purpose? for nourishment and development. We also go through these seasons in a certain order. The same way in which we go through these seasons of climate and weather, we also go through these seasons of life and living, natural growth and development.

What is often times not though about is why we have four seasons a year. What the laws of nature needs for grow and development is nourishment. How does it get that nourishment? Through the process of the four seasons.

Every season has a benefit - even winter has it's benefit. Even though it is cold and snowy with shorty daylight hours, it does have a benefit. The cold and the snow cleans out the air. If you will ever notice that the air will smell much cleaner in the winter months. That is because the cold air is in the process of cleaning out everything for a new season of growth and development. During the spring - the grass is getting greener and start to grow with more and new life. The flowers are blooming with beauty and happiness, the leaves from the trees are starting to whistle with the wind. It is time for a new season of health, life, love, abundance of happiness health and wholeness, purity -- everything is growing with new life, new energy, new living and re-energized for new growth and development. During the summer, there are events being put-together for fun and laughter, during the fall we enjoy the beautiful colors and beautiful scenery of what mother nature provides to us. The leaves are starting to turn colors, this make for a beautiful scenery. These are just to name a few things

The same way in which the climate goes through four seasons, we as humans also goes through those same seasons in life and living.
The same way in which own body grows, matures, and flourishes in life and living - is the same way our lifestyle, our dreams, our passions also grows, flourishes and matures in life.

There are often times that certain things, certain situations - present themselves at certain times for certain reasons. What we need to understand is that the four seasons and those reasons are for the benefit of you and those that are around you. What are those reasons? It's very difficult for anyone to understand those answers. The important thing to remember is to trust in God's timing and the four seasons will present themselves in their natural ways and abilities. When you have faith, you begin to understand the situation the way it is, then you begin to understand the process of the four seasons of thinking through the process the situation will then begging to solve itself. You will solve the situation, but it will become a second nature to you in the process.

Nurse Becca, you have been working hard and the growth and development of the four seasons are blessing you in so many ways. A cracked phone screen can not get in the way of faith or the four seasons of growth, development and accomplishment, but perhaps be to shine a new light to freshness. A freshness that when you understand who is in control, nothing is impossible. When you take time to go out of your way and to be pure at heart because that is the is who you are, that is the type of person that you are, keep in mind who the person is that sees the kindness that is in your heart, therefor the next season of growth is on it's way.

There is nothing that can keep you from accomplishing the achievements in your heart and of God's best! I believe in you Nurse Becca!

I would love to see your how to video

I really missed you Nurse Becca! I am glad to see you back!

I hope that you are having a great evening!:)
Ronnie

You have a great philosophy! And just in time for fall. One more day of summer to celebrate. And this reminds me of Voice of Winds, a poem my mom wrote. That is the same idea she always taught.
I am so glad you believe in me. I would not imagined how much there is to know at our fingertips, but still can relate the most advanced concepts to simple patterns of nature like the seasons.

I will try to make a nice powerpoint and screencast with closed captioning on what to do with woopsiedoodle phones to help your biz. I think that will be a great idea. I'll try not to sound like the pompous windbag weatherguy. I hope my hair wont look too Trumpy for a Nixon
just kidding i hope that made you giggle a little. 😁 Bless your big heart
Sincerely,
Nurse Becca

Sounds like your mom possess great knowledge and wisdom - I do feel you possess that same knowledge and wisdom. I will always believe in you - I understand your passion and I feel your sincerity!

Very very true, there is so much knowledge out there but can be related in the simplest form. The sky is the limit to the knowledge that we have access to. I love your approach.

That would be awesome! I would love to see a powerpoint presentation from you. That is an awesome idea! I think your hair looks gorgeous!

Yes, that did make me giggle a little, you always make me smile :)

Thank you for your beautiful words!
Sincerely,
Ronnie

also thank you so much!

Awwww shucks, you're quite welcome of course🙂

I believe you have 'Tenure' and as such cannot be banned. Time to 'push it' unless of course I'm wrong, it has been known on more than one occasion, if that's the case please disregard my first statement.
We have a 'gang' of flies pestering at present. One has moved an icon across my screen and the other, or the same one, paused my video. It's a 'touchscreen' desktop and the only cloud it knows comes from the internals when it gets to hot.
So good to have you back.

Laughing my ass off! Lolol🤣💝

Good to hear from you Becca. I have been "one poor correspondent and I've been too too hard to find", with health issues on my mind.
But I did miss you and it is great to see your writing again. I will be back.

Sonny

It's great to hear from you, Sonny! I hope you get well soon

Hi, I haven't been around much myself. Too busy with other things.

I have a laptop that I can't get onto because Microsoft insisted that I needed to have a password on it. I let it sit too long and can't remember the password for nothing.

You might want to check out an Otterbox cell phone cover. They come with a lifetime warranty, if I remember correctly. I think they were designed for guys that work on construction sites.

I have used one on my cellphones. I've never had a cellphone or it's screen. I also use one on my iPad. Most of the otter box covers are black or pink. I have a pink one now. :)

See you around.

Hey ! The 1st one was too big an otter and if they guarantee maybe not for putting the thing on the wrong phone to begin with, but that was my fault. I am accountable and boy did I get stressed to worry about missing stuff on my phone. I did not have paper backups because really we are not to take anything from the home for infusions. And if you misplaced a paper document, that could be a hefty fine. Everyone has a goofup once in a great while. As long as we learn and keep trying right. I probably need the military grade transformer brand phone jklol!
glad to hear from you! Whoa nelly💝

Welcome back!
I missed you like you did. :)
Hope things are going very well with you!

Thank you, yes it is getting better
Happy Saturday:)to a Sweetyheart

Hi NurseBecca,
Great to see you are back. Missed you.

Best wishes,
Michael

Hi there master mechanic😁 i missed you too

https://youtu.be/Um7pMggPnug

That was awesome! Thank you Georgiecakiepoo😉 i missed you

Hi Becca, it's so nice to have you back. Allow me to make one contribution to your phone issues-I am the king of fumbling and dropping my phone. I have dropped it on hardwood floors, wooden stairs and concrete (multiple times) and I still have the original screen. So I recommend you look for a case from Tudia. Amazon has them. Mine has strong plastic back and a raised rubbery type edge along the front, so if it lands face down the screen is protected. I have field tested this numerous times. Seriously.
Wishing you all the best...
Jay

Howdy doodie super cutie yes i saw one that is a transformer, little legs pop out if you drop it and it boomerangs back in your hand or pocket, whichever it fell from. I know i know maybe the tyedie blinking is giving me hallucinations ha!!! I had looked on Amazon but not found one i liked. I got mine from i break they fix store lol
Thank you Jay! I wish the best for you as well. 💝 from my heart

Wow...welcome home! What a story. Missed you and glad you're back, cracked, locked phone and all!
Great read by the way, as you always do. Somehow in all this, I think I learned about locking my phone and getting a better cover, which I think has worked pretty well.
Glad you're back.
Joe

My precise call to action 🤗🤗🤗 thank you so much
