I have just started using Google AdSense on my website and have already made 83 cents today. Is this average? Good/Bad?

What has your experience been?

I haven't used adsense. :))

So far it has taken me three months to make $100 from adsense, where it only took me a week to make almost $400 from an affiliate site I promoted. I think it can be good to have here and there, as long as it doesn't bring the look and quality of your site down in doing so.

Outcome, I've made a small amount of money but my affiliate sites are doing laps around them. :)))

I have it on two sites and it totals about $50 USD a month, not a huge number at all. However, I think some sites do better than others. It also depends on traffic.

Veronia.l has a decent training about adsense here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/adsense-sites-how-to-make-your-first-1-with-adsense

What!!? $50 is huge to me - That's great Dom! Hopefully I'll send some people over through FB, it's already up to 91 cents :)

I'll check out her training now & thanks for your input, much appreciated.

nice.. whatever is 1cent or make till dollars

Hopefully it'll add up quick!

I just got approve so I have not made any money, but 83 cents is a good start.

I think it definitely has some potential, best of luck with it!

I've made about six dollars. So far, it's the only thing bringing an income.

$6 richer :)

So true!

I have it on my site for a little more than a week now, and I have made almost $20, so far so good

Wow that's a great number, you should have no problem reaching the cash out minimum!

thanks, and I hope so, I think its a great tool to make some extra $, best of luck to you

I just finished my first week of it and have made a little over $2.50. I wasn't expecting to make a killing on it. I just figured it couldn't hurt to have something coming in. lol

Exactly how I feel - Thanks for sharing!

I thought the limit was $50. Hmmm I'm almost to $50. LOL I'll have to go check. I make a few bucks a month with it. So I'm leaving my ads. Hope as I get more notice, that will pick up.

Thanks for your input Carla! I'm definitely going to keep mine around and see how it goes. I wish it was $50, $100 seems pretty steep

I have been OK with it I have $10 so far and that's after 2 months the only problem is you can't withdraw till you get $100

Not bad!! Yeah the $100 limit really stinks, if only it was $10

When I upgraded to premium yearly I saw the $359 taken out on my bank statement, but I also see a $3.22 ICBA fee... Is this fee associated with paying WA?

Thank you for your answers everyone, I will have to check with my bank!!

Haven't seen it either, but it's most likely a transaction fee charged by your bank or an intermediary bank to process the payment.

Just checked my statement and I didn't get charged that, so I'm not sure. Good Luck in scoping it out!

When I went yearly there was no added charges perhaps this could be some admin fee with whom your account was processed with.
You can also send Kyle or Carson an PM and asked but I doubt it is from WA.
Take care
Andre
Do any of the two below ring a bell to you are you associated with them or your payment is process by them. They both come up when you Google icba fee
Independent Community Bankers of America ...
The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and Accountants

I was curious because I didn't know and the only plausible one I could find was "Independent Community Bankers of America" - (probably isn't that at all). Hopefully someone will come up with the right answer for you. :) Beverley

Hey BIS - you are correct !
- but it must be in the fine print what the fee is for - I know I have had "pennies" taken out of my Paypal account for international sales/purchases - pretty sure it has something to do with that

Sorry - we must have been posting at the same time - because no one had answered when I clicked reply.

Hi Beverly - no problem - you know way more than me anyway - I always listen to and heed your advise!

maybe there is a bank fee for international transactions - I'm not sure
... Google says ICBA is the Independent Community Bankers of America?
I would check it out with your bank!

I want to collect people's emails so I can stay in contact with my customers and keep them updated. - Do I do this through a widget?

thanks it did Leo

I haven't done it yet, but most of my friends who have use Aweber. Good Luck!

You need to have an auto-responder in order to do this. And you can get this service through companies like Aweber, Get Response, Mail Chimp - just to name a few.

Once you have set up your auto-responder with any one of these companies you then place the code on your site which has form fields to gather peoples info.

Once they give you their contact info you can now send out updates or any type of email message you like.

You can see what I mean by going to my site www.netwiseprofits.com - in the right hand sidebar that is my autoresponder which I use to promote the WA to my list as well as give people updates on new content and such.

Hope this helps

You will want to use an auto responder. Aweber is $19.95 per month I believe but Mailchimp is free.

Great, thank you!

Hi all!

I am working on some new posts for the advice and tips page within my college based website. Do you remember anything that you wish you knew before entering colleg

Granted I went to college back in the Dark Ages, but I don't think I was ready for how isolated I felt. I'm not from a close-knit family so I really didn't think it would bother me. I was raring to go and get away! And then there I sat, all alone and 8 hours away from anyone I knew. I made friends quickly and adjusted, but I wasn't ready for that initial "isolation culture shock."

Yes I definitely agree that it's odd at first to be all on your own. I actually created a post about feeling homesick, which I think touches upon what you're talking about.

http://collegedormroom.us/homesickness

Do you think these tips are sufficient in helping out someone who may experience the "isolation culture shock"?

That's a great post! I think the most important thing you bring out is getting involved. Not only are you keeping the loneliness at bay, you are setting up a part of your future with new friends and new interests. Doing some community service or getting involved with projects like Habitat for Humanity are good, too. There's no better way to help yourself feel better than by helping others. Keep up the good work!
