Are You Getting As Many Comments As You'd Like?
I have to admit that I'm disappointed in the number of comment my site - http://www.InvestInGoldNow.com - is getting, despite me regularly asking for some over on the "give and take comment thread". Maybe the topic of my site is too esoteric for people? Maybe my articles don't engage with readers? If it's something in my end, I'd like to know so I can do something to fix it.
I'd like to thank those who have taken the time to leave comments but many calls for comments on specific posts have gone unanswered. I do leave comments in return.
I've left comments on posts when other people have requested them but in some cases, have never received a return comment.
Comments, as we're taught here, give life to a blog and get noticed by the search engines. But there doesn't appear to be enough give and take going on.
Maybe it's just me, or my site. What has your experience in asking for comments been like?

No one can leave a comment without the place to leave them. I did a blog to show many things and how to find them, enabling the comment boxes is one of them. The home page is a page, not a post, so you can't leave comments there, but you can leave comments on all the other posts (as some have already done). I PM'd you some post links.
You can most definitely leave comments on pages. I saw the page with the comment boxes, but not all of the pages and post have them.

I posted a comment on your bar of chocolate vs bar of silver post.
I think your content is a little daunting to comment on when you're not familiar with the subject matter.
And if you're posting through the site comments interface you have the additional restriction that your comment must be unique and of a sufficient length.
Maybe if you end with a question you could nudge the reader into a suitable response.
I hear what you're saying, Chazz - and thanks for leaving the comment - but I comment on blogs where I know nothing about the niche. Google is my friend when I'm stuck for something to say. I just want to leave a comment that's relevant to the site.
Comments have to be long enough that the Spam plugin doesn't just mark them as spam. I'm using the default setting in that plugin.
