Hi all. Any opinions on this one?
I am in the in the process of setting up my first WA site. I have written and published 5 quality posts relating to the niche I am in.</
I wouldnt put them in if they are not related to your niche to be honest but you could create a subdomain or even a new free siterubix site and just work on that every now and then.
Hope that helps.
Matthew
Hi. Thanks for your input. In two minutes I have two people telling me to keep my "old" articles away from my new site. I think I'll take this advice.
Have a great day. Niels.

Will non niche related content do damage to my overall seo?
Hi all. Any opinions on this one?

Those 'old' unrelated articles may do damage to your overall SEO. Also unless you can tie in those 'old' unrelated articles to the niche of your website, your readers would not expect it.
If you most and if there is a logical connection, maybe say something about the logical connection. Like say your niche is "cars", and your old article are "bikes", the connection is "transport" or "maybe before I got my first car, I used to travel by bike, this was my favourite bike" type of thing.
Both "cars" and "bikes" may not be good niches from our point of view because they are so general, but you get the idea.
Keep the content highly focussed on your niche.
Right! Thanks for your input. I'll just hold on to my "old" articles until I come up with a brilliant idea for them.
Have a great day. Niels.

Hi all. What's your opinion on this one?
Which scenario/content type would rank better in Google?
1 - I write good, easy to read content. I write for the reader -
Hey,
I don't think there's a correct answer to the question you've posed, in the format you've posed it.
There is no tension between facts and good writing. That's a false dilemma.
If your writing ranks well and has a solid personal brand or reputation attached to it, it's because you've consistently demonstrated a strong writing style, clear purpose, and authority.
'Strong writers' come in many flavours. I like Chuck Wendig as much as I like Brian Cox, for instance. One's a fiction writer, and the other is a well-known astrophysicist. Both command adoring audiences without any dumbing-down.
Keeping such examples in mind, you need to decide what your special approach will be, depending on your choice of audience and topic. And whichever tack you take, you should keep it consistent.
A page ranks well, because people read and share. But they can do that for all kinds of reasons, fickle and profound. What kind of reputation do you want or need in your field?
Hi Ivy.
Thank you for your comprehensive answer to and view on my question.
I think I'll just follow your advice and write in my own personal style.
Personally I find it easier to read content that has a certain degree of "entertainment" about it. I'll choose this direction in my own writing.
Have a nice day, Niels
It depends on the subject matter also. You may need to do a hybrid. So doing you will attract both types.
I will prefer the #2 though. Who does not like to be entertained.
Hi. Thanks for your reply.
I prefer #2 as well. I am just wondering if Google will acknowledge this model as being a better way of informing people than the more "fact-rich" but more "dry" #1.
Have a nice day. Niels.
Hi,
a classic "it depends" question.
Who is your target audience?
How old are they, what education do they have, etc.?
Personally, I would go for option 2 as this is something I prefer reading myself.
But try to look at it from the view of your audience.
Moritz
Hi. Thanks for your reply.
I also like nr 2 the best. Let's see what others have to say.
Have a great day.

Sorry that no one has answered this yet. I think it depends on whether your niche is specific to Denmark or more open to the WWW. I am in Canada and tossed the .ca ending for .com because my niche is global.
Also, you might find that there is a keyword tool created by Danish tech folk who include those characters. You could then do a jaaxy search and refine it in the native tool for your audience.
Hi. Thanks for your answer.
I already went ahead with a .dk. As the site is in danish I decided that my visitors overall would feel more comfortable with a .dk.
Have a great day. Niels

Hi. I more or less understand how to choose good keywords from Jaaxy and Keyword tool. But I am not quite sure how to use these different keywords (on the same overall topic).
You target one keyword per post, but normally you will be ranked for many. So use it in title, url, first and last paragraph, in image attributes. The best place for targeted keyword in WordPress image attributes
Keywords can be changed with every post. They should be used naturally, but often. I believe adding key words or phrases too Your SEO can help people find your site easier so I would add some
Hi. Thanks for reply. OK. But what I mean is should I use more search words in the content of one page. If I have both "how to make money online fast" and "can i make money online" should I incorporate both in the text?
For example: I've heard "I can make money online", but can I "make money online fast?" Both can be key word phrases and used together or apart through out a post
