What Is Happiness?

Happiness seems to be an ever elusive state. One moment we experience it the next moment it is gone and we plunge in the abyss of unhappiness again. The question is: What is happiness? “Happiness comes when we feel satisfied and fulfilled. Happiness is a feeling of contentment, that life is just as it should be. Perfect happiness, enlightenment, comes when you have all of your needs satisfied.”
Happiness is a state of well being. It is a feeling of living well and flourishing. It is something that is desired for itself and not for the sake of anything else. Happiness is a feeling of completeness. Everyone wants to be happy; however, only a few truly achieve the state of happiness. Each person has his or her own view of the elements that happiness should consist of. It is a state of being that can be found when we are lost in the moment.
Our lives are a continuous series of moments. As we go from one moment to the next, we find happiness in being present - that is giving all of our attention to what is happening in our lives right here and now. In so doing, we are able to free ourselves in that moment of all the baggage of emotions, fears, anxiety, circumstances and situations in our lives that steal our happiness. When we are able to do this, that is when we truly find happiness.

Moreover, When I am engaged in the activity of sewing, I am able to truly find and experience the true essence of happiness. As the quote states, you will find happiness when you are lost in the moment. Indeed, I do get lost in the moment when I sew because I am doing something that I enjoy and love doing. So I am totally engaged and I am able to let go of all the baggage in my life and just be suspended in the moment where time stops and I become oblivious to everything in my life except the activity of sewing. Sewing truly transports me to a place of bliss and that is what happiness truly is for me.

Happiness is when you love what you are doing. It is not always about money, it is about your situation in life. You feel happy when everything you planned worked out. Not all rich people are happy and so are those who have less in life. Happiness is a feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment.

Nice reminder about happiness. I am a very lucky person, because I am happy most of the time. I find some moments of true happiness with WA, especially when I am writing, because I forget about time and my surroundings...come to sometime later.

Happiness has something to do with fulfillment in something. However, there are times when happiness is a relative one. You are happy with something but you are sad about one thing.
But there are days that you are completely happy in all your life. As if everything works well, no problems, no worries.
