To Dare or Not to Dare!

Quote of the Day:

“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to rank with the poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the grey twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.” Theodore Roosevelt

Meaning of the Quote:

It is better to try to accomplish great things and encounter failure in the achievement of such things, instead of being classified as weak spirits, that neither experience failure nor success because they dwell in their own world where victory nor defeat reside.

Discussion of the Quote:

We can choose to dare great things and win grand triumphs although we will encounter failures along the way. It is better to have tried and lost and not try at all. You would have at least gained the experience just for the sake of trying.

On the flip side, we can choose to be classified as weak spirits that stay in our comfort zones and there suffer loss and not receive any gains because we refuse to venture outside of our comfort zones to try different and new things but instead remain in the zone of comfort that knows neither triumphs nor defeats because we live in the narrow confines of the spaces we create for ourselves.

Final Thoughts:

The question is: Do you dare and lose or you never dare at all? It is a personal choice that we all have to make. Some of us are strong, courageous, persistent and consistent enough to dream big dreams and aim high. Some of us may achieve our goals and so reach for the moon and make it while others may fall short and so end up among the stars.

However, those of us who choose to remain in our comfort zone because we are afraid to dare and reach for the moon. So, we do not reach the moon, nor do we fall among the stars. Instead, we choose to say on the ground of comfort but the reality is that we know neither victory nor defeat from our places of comfort.

I appreciate your time and your comments.

To our success!

Kind regards,

Nichola

Congratulation, Nichola, great post I've read for the day. Me, just try hard and accomplish something,if there's failure along the way I think that's part of the whole process in our business, at the same time learn about and try to avoid it next, if possible. It's all about how we accept failure or trials that we' ve encountered in our way. Most important don't stop try and try.

Thank you, Nichola.
Have a nice day!

Hi Nicola. Not so long ago, the small people in the world (who did not matter, the poor), hid because they did not have a place in society. They did this so the big people in the world (the rich), could strut around and parade themselves as masters of the small and meek. This only changed when either money became more abundant or people were freed of serving others.
Now of course we all dare to dream, apart from those who are not allowed to still!!

Nichola, for me personally, I feel better if i pushed beyond my comfort zone. Yes, it is a bit uncomfortable for me all throughout, but a massive learning curve as well. I always make myself a promise never to let fear control me and me staying as a weak spirit is saying that fear has won that round. Great post. Thank you for sharing

This is a great quote. Thank you for sharing. So important to step outside our comfort zone as often as possible and get out of our own way. It's the only way to reach new places.
Kudos
Tracy :)
