There Must Be a Fusion of Mastery and Passion for Your Craft!

Last Update: April 22, 2022

Quote of the Day:

"It is not enough to know your craft - you have to have feelings." Edouard Manet

Meaning of the Quote:

You should master your craft and be passionate about it.

Discussion of the quote:

Your craft, in most cases, is your life's work. Therefore, you want to be able to do it well to the point of mastery. However, there must be passion for your craft so that it doesn't feel like boring work.

Additionally, passion is what fuels your work so that you stay the course day after day. So when the going gets rough and things seem impossible to achieve, you get the strength and the will to continue anyway. Also, passion helps you to become great at your craft because you will stop at nothing to gain new knowledge and skills so that you can get better at your craft.

Final Thoughts:

Finally, when it comes to your craft, there must be a fusion of mastery with passion. “Passion is that which deeply stirs us. It’s the fire from within and that which motivates us. When passion is missing, our actions lack meaning and we don’;t get the result we want…passion is the seed from which commitment blossoms.”

I appreciate your time, comments and likes.

To our success

Kind regards,

Nichola

I do so much research on my niche till I am beat. I will work throughout the week and have to get almost a full day of sleep on the weekend.

This was a real pick - me - up. I have to use the passion for my niche for mastery. I have to keep going. There is so much to learn, and I will be all over it.

Interesting quote, Nichola. It makes a valid point. If the passion isn't there, then I'm just going through the motions without putting my heart into it.

I personally try to fuel my passion on a regular basis, looking for ways to get better at my craft, fuel my creativity and grow in these areas.

Cause if the passion or zeal isn't there, then I'd rather not waste my time or effort.

Appreciate the post!

So very true, Nichola!

Thank you for this post, and the meaningful quote.

To master one's craft, passion for it must be imbued in every fiber of our being.

It then becomes a lifestyle and performing it is like the ocean crashing on the rocks of the cliffs. It is expected, powerful and beautiful.

Keep on thriving!

This is interesting. To master any skill, you must have passion. some say these are opposing forces. Passion is the emotion put into any pursuit to reach mastery or to have a commanding knowledge of the ability or skillset. Emotions that are healthy will produce a healthy passion for the pursuit. This empowers the pursuit to be fierce and unstoppable.
