The dictionary definition of persistence is “refusing to give up or let go; persevering obstinately.” While success is defined as, “the achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted” Whatever your definition of success is, persistence is a required element for its realization.

The following quote clearing suggests just how much importance Calvin Coolidge placed on persistence “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”

Furthermore, you can not have true success without persistence. It is the ability to keep moving forwards against all odds and to not give up until you achieve your end result. In the case of our online businesses, we sometimes want immediate success. However, our success will be possible with persistence when we feel that we can’t go on but instead we force ourselves to keep going by writing yet another and another post for our websites until we finally achieve the success we seek. “Persistence is a secret weapon for everyone.” Liu Wen.

Napoleon sums up our ultimate lack of persistence in his quote. “The majority of men meet with failure because of their lack of persistence in creating new plans to take the place of those which fail.” Persistence is a character trait that you want to possess in this life. With persistence, you will become unstoppable.
