Humility Gives the Sea Its Power!
“All streams flow to the sea because it is lower than they are. Humility gives it its power.” Lao Tzu
The sea is powerful because it is the largest combined force of water on the earth. All streams flow to the sea despite the path they may choose to follow. They will always add to the force of the sea. Streams may think that they have power because they are at higher elevation. They are but tiny trickle in comparison to the sea and thus they have no real power.
Streams may decide the path the will follow to the sea but the sea is lower than they are. Therefore, it merely sits and collect. Because of its humility, all other bodies of water such as brooks, streams, rivers, all will always flow into the sea, all these combined individual droplets create the most powerful body of water on earth.
Indeed, all streams flow into the sea, yet it does not become full or overflows. Because of the water cycle, water everywhere is in continuous flow or movement. Water is continuously being recycled.
Moreover, there is a continuous evaporation of water from the surface of the sea into the sky. These water molecules saturate the air above the sea and form clouds. Condensation occurs and the water from the clouds is released back into the atmosphere in the form of rain and snow, And thus the cycle repeats, the water returns again to the streams and flows out again to the sea.

I have not read it yet but I am hoping to one day soon. I read the late Dr. Wayne W. Dyer interpretation of the Tao Te Ching. I like his quotes so for now I will use them in my writing until I have written about all my favorites then I will move on to someone else's quotes.

Water does not leave the Earth.
It is either in the Ocean, in the clouds or in the rivers creeks and dams.
Humanity has no control over it except when it is in a dam.
It is more powerful than humanity.
