We use our words and our silence to create our lies.

Discussion of the Quote:

“You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” Truth is truth and lie is lie; there is no in between lie or truth. To be honest with ourselves and others, we have to be in touch with ourselves. When we are out of touch with our feelings, emotions and what we think, it is not possible to be honest with anyone and that includes ourselves as well.

Furthermore, we are often afraid to be honest and speak our truth because we fear we will lose what we have - friends, jobs, you name it. However, when we begin to untangle ourselves from dishonesty and our addictive behaviors that prevent us from being in touch with ourselves, we realize how our dishonesty pulls us away from ourselves and throws us into confusion. On the other hand, when we clothe ourselves in honesty and speak our truth, we find that we can be our real selves again.

Final Thoughts:

When we learn to be truly honest with ourselves and others, we realize how dishonesty separates us from our true selves and makes us wander so far away from ourselves that we barely recognize ourselves. However, honesty allows us to breathe freely and easily and become our authentic selves again.
