Higher Dimensions of Consciousness!

The question is: What is higher consciousness? Higher consciousness seems to be correlated to spiritual or energetic awareness that transcends the mind’s normal preoccupation with the past and the future. Higher consciousness surpasses our ordinary conscious mind. It is the consciousness of higher self, universe and God; it is the ultimate consciousness.
In a state of higher consciousness, one is aware of the meaning of existence, ones spiritual essence as well as the spiritual or energetic nature in all things. The next question is: Can we achieve higher consciousness? The answer is, yes we can! First, we must understand the three levels of awareness. According to Sigmund Freud, there are the conscious, preconscious and unconscious levels of awareness.
- The conscious level consists of what you are aware of at any particular point in time whether it is in the front of your mind or the back.
- The preconscious contains information that is just below the surface of awareness. It can be retrieved fairly easy and is usually thought of as memory or recollection.
- However, the unconscious contains thoughts, memories and desires that are deeply buried within us way below our conscious awareness. Although we are unaware of their existence, they exert great influence on our behavior.
The three levels of consciousness awareness are also known as the id, ego and superego.
The third question is: How do you introduce higher dimensions of consciousness into your awareness? Practice of meditation and other spiritual practices which include awareness or mindfulness such as yoga, prayer, religious experience or activities that induce a trance, the development of intuition and studying the teachings of ancient spiritual masters, all help to elevate your consciousness. In this state, you are awakened to your true nature as an infinite eternal point of consciousness.
Furthermore, in a state of higher consciousness, you will be able to experience greater feelings of happiness and fulfillment. You will become more centered as a person because you will be able to better control your negative emotions. You will be in tuned with who you really are and you will begin to live your life as such. Higher consciousness is pure consciousness. Therefore, when you are able to master your thoughts and emotions and embrace the concepts of unconditional love, patience, kindness, compassion, understanding, forgiveness, gratitude, truthfulness and humility and others, you are in a state of growth because you have introduced higher dimensions of consciousness into your awareness.

Great post.
Your writing speaks of a truth that not everyone can understand at will. Most people will have the opportunity to access what you describe, many will be unaware of the pointers and chances that come their way.
Once you have reached or touched these higher levels AND when you have a feel for what you have experienced then there is no going back, life can never be quite the same.
Meditation and study are good but being able to find your true self and your higher level of consciousness from within yourself, sometimes by chance and sometimes with help is spectacular, people reading your post who don't "get it" will not understand. Those who read your post and identify with your beautifully written words will just smile.
