Meaning of the Quote:
When you forgive, you are able to let go of the misery of unforgiveness and this is uplifting for your soul.
Discussion of the Quote:
It has been said that forgiveness is not for the other person, it is for you. So when others have done you wrong, you have to forgive them. It does not mean that you are letting them off the hook for what they have done. It is for you so that you stop hurting about what they have done to you. Also, it is for you to not get angry every time you see the persons that have done wrong unto you.
Additionally, you are also in need of forgiveness from others as well. In some way or another, you have done wrong to others, intentionally or by accident. So you too are in need of the forgiveness of others. Furthermore, the hardest person to forgive is yourself but you have to do it for yourself to release yourself from the wrongs that you have done unto others.
Moreover, you have to forgive and forget so that you can recover and be at peace and others can receive the blessing of forgiveness. Forgiveness allows you to heal from the pain of the wrongs that were done to you. Do not keep record of the wrongs; instead, let them go. It is not healthy to hold grudges.

It is not visible but is very real. It is so powerful that it has the ability to change your heart. So, just as you have to forgive others so that they can move on with their lives. I am in the moment of silence when I read your blog as for sure few of us do touch by your blog!
It is well said and just want to share mine, before my big brother died in heart attack, he make a special request that it will be different my birthday is not celebrating to my place.
but instead he prepare a special for me to his place, for some reason, I was side track and told him I can't come down for it is 4 hours drive from where i live, needless to say he cook all my favorite dishes, and all the local fruits which is my favorites you name it . . .
he really give a well thoughts of how he make me happy as my sister in law took a pictures what my big brother prepare for me. . .not knowing its gonna be our last meeting if I went, till this day i am in tears if only i know that will be a goodbye then we spent more time before he's gone!
Learning to forgive myself but still am stuck the guilty feeling still facing and so this is a very main reason why it takes my courage to go and enroll here for I know somehow it will be a way of saying i will keep my promise that will continue till i success bcuz by then i can at least feel better and hope i can forgive myself!

Nichola never thought i will pour my guilt am living with but i am determined to find a way to ease the pain and through dream to own that's my big brother and I plan, so coming here is to connect the end rope, I know after i will able to forgive myself, slowly. .

You are so right, Nichola. When we forgive someone it is for our own good. We feel liberated of that heavy load of guilt we carry when we keep grudges.
Depending on the amount of pain we had to undergo, it's much easier to forgive than to forget. It takes a little longer to erase the memory of the incident from our minds.

There isn’t anything as good for the soul as forgiveness. It provides great relief and a state of peacefulness that is unimagined. Holding a resentment and being unable to forgive really just harms the person harboring it. I know this from my experiences in life and I am so grateful that I was able to unburden through forgiveness first of myself and then the other person. Thanks for your beautiful share!
