Do Good Deeds Daily!

Quote of the Day:

“The smallest good deed is better than the grandest intention.” John Burroughs

Meaning of the Quote:

Indeed, no deed is too small, but an intention as it says is the hope of doing something. Therefore, a small deed is of greater significance than a grand intention.

Discussion of the Quote:

All good deeds serve significant purposes. It does not matter whether the deeds are small or great. A good deed is a deed no matter its size. The giver does and the receiver gets. The deed giver and the deed receiver both benefit.

Additionally, an intention is only an intent to do something. No action has been taken to get the deed done, So it does not matter how great the intention is, it is not a deed. More specifically, an intention pales in comparison to a good deed.

Final Thoughts:

No good deed goes unnoticed or unrewarded. When we do good deeds, we will receive good deeds in return. What we give we receive. “Your good deeds might seem invisible, but they leave a trail that is imprinted on the hearts of others.”

More importantly, a simple small deed can brighten someone’s day or prevent someone from falling apart because of what they are going through. A good deed can make a significant impact on our faith in humanity and improve our outlook on life. You can be that person that creates this impact today, tomorrow and long into the future.

Therefore, we all should perform good deeds no matter how small or great, rather than having grand intentions. In most instances, a good deed does not cost us a cent. However, when we perform good deeds, they are investments in creating a more loving, kind, supportive and generous world, one that we all will like to live in and benefit from.

I appreciate your time, comments and likes.

To our success

Kind regards,

Nichola

Nichola, I find it truly rewarding to do for others! Some say that's the reason that I'll never be rich; however, I accept being happy of all my little deeds.

Good advice Nichola. A kinder world is what we need and it all starts with service to others.
And, good intentions do require action to become deeds rather than thoughts.

Very true -- and our benefits are just as good for us if we are the giver as for the receiver. Also, you are correct in saying we don't always realize how much that small good deed has brightened someone else's day. It can take just a little thing to help someone rise to their feet when knocked down by life's blows.
