Indeed, attitude is everything. Be it good or bad, it is what will determine the result of any difficult undertaking - success or failure. Attitude influences all of our actions.
Discussion of the Quote:
“Your attitude, not your aptitude will determine your altitude.” Zig Zigler For sure, the right attitude going into anything - simple or difficult is the deciding factor for the success of that undertaking. A great attitude is like fuel to propel you along the journey of the successful completion of any task or venture. You believe in yourself and your success.
However, on the flip side, an attitude of defeat will not get you far in anything you decide to pursue. It will make you doubt yourself and this could paralyze your action. Also, your expectations will be low so you will accept failure without even trying.
Final Thoughts:
For better or for worse, your attitude will have a powerful impact on the result you obtain when you engage in an undertaking. With a negative attitude, your endeavor is almost guaranteed to fail. It more or less became a self-fulfilling prophecy. Therefore, you will expect obstacles instead of success.
However, with a great attitude everything looks better and seems easier. You have momentum and so with any task you undertake you seem to be able to get the job done with a greater level of success.

I never try to write if I'm in a bad mood, or tired, or suffering anything else which could affect my word selection. I know it always shows in my writing and that of others.
Better to wait until your attitude is better than write out of obligation and turn out garbage!

That is very true but sometimes when you are so low you just can't muster any positive attitude as everything is black and you are in darkness.
