Your goals provide you with motivation and a vision for the future. They make you focus on your time, skills, knowledge and resources so that you can use them to achieve your goals.
“This one step - choosing a goal and sticking to it - changes everything.” Scott Reed. When you set SMART goals, it helps you to stay focused and motivated. It forces you to become good at the things that you need to achieve the goals that you have set for yourself. It also guides your behavior and your attitude.

I guess by now, we all know that goal setting is very important/ it is beneficial to set goals because they give you something to strive for in your life. I personally have decided tons of new things to do and learn but all in vain; it was all because of the lack of goals.
I found out if without the purposes, we'll lose the attention, the interest and the passion in the half way, not to mention sticking to it till the ultimate success.
I learned this from tears and blood that having a goal in the first place is really necessary, and your post just gave numerous quotes and evidences proving that. Really motivating and inspiring.
