A day with no motivation

Anyone else have these days where you question everything and think you're never going to make money in this industry? It's so competitive in 2016 and moving into 2017 it's only going to get harder. I have these days where I think ranking for keywords is just never going to happen and that this is all a waste of time.

While I'm going through this mental breakdown and can't seem to find any motivation to write I try to at least do some site comments or something to make some type of progress so that I can earn credits.

Today, I literally got nothing done. Not even a site comment. I actually had time to work on my site and didn't. Most days I'm lucky to get an hour or two, today I had a good few hours and just couldn't find the motivation.

Today I suck. Tomorrow is a new day though right? It's that whole one day at a time focus we have to have. Tomorrow I'll do better and get some tasks I have my list accomplished. If at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again.

I know that all of us go through this where we question what we are doing, the people that are successful find a way to move past this. Today I veered off course, tomorrow I will look at my to-do-list for my website and start with the next thing on the list and just focus on that. One step at a time.

I have to keep reminding myself that there are people that make this work. It is completely possible. If it were easy though everyone would do it. Tomorrow is a new day.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading. I promise the next one will be more optimistic ;)

As you said Daniel: "If at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again" those are the sentiments of successful people and because of that, you'll become successful too. Just continue to "dust yourself off and try again".

Thanks for the positive words.

Hey Daniel, some of my days suck too, lol. Hope these can encourage you a bit :

I've been having to fight myself to get something done for the last two days. I did get some stuff done, but it wasn't as much as I could have and it was a struggle the whole way.

However, I've also learned that you need to go with the flow. When you don't want to work, sometimes it's just your mind telling you that it needs a break. It doesn't mean you suck. It means that you're human.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is to go with it. Watch some funny videos on YouTube, hang out with a friend, listen to some upbeat music and do some work around the house. Take the time to recharge and when you come back to it you'll be that much more productive. If you find you're always doing this then that's procrastination and you probably have some bad habits to break. But taking the time to recharge when necessary is a good thing and works better if you're not mentally beating yourself up about it.

Very true. For me it's hard to find time so I hate I have these days, but sometimes it is better to just do something else I stead of stressing out and start over fresh the next day.

I certainly agree that it could be hard a times but you have to push yourself. Just keep reminding yourself that the hard work you put in will pay off in the end. Baby steps are better than no steps because they still keep you going forward.

Regards,
Jerome

You can rest all you want along a steep road going up a mountain but to get to the top you have to get up and put in the distance!

Don't ever think to yourself that 'you suck' - say, "today I decided to focus on other things in life and tomorrow will be a new day."

I suppose that's another way to put it :) Thanks.

You're welcome. :)
