Yesterday I created my first checkout on by landing page. And I used Paypal as a payment option.
But I've also used the name and email form from my email service provider.
Sup Simone? Let me understand correctly, PayPal login is different from Email provider? Are you requesting some type of sign up? PayPal option should log clients directly into your PayPal associated account.
Canty
I guess
Someone told me to remove one if the links and just one PayPal directly
So that's why I will be trying from now on
Thank you, for your response

Checkout on landing page - what did I do wrong?
Yesterday I created my first checkout on by landing page. And I used Paypal as a payment option.
But I've also used the name and email form from my email service provider.
From what I know, customers will click on Paypal to check out.
Then create an account, and log in with their email address and password to access the course or material.
Yes, that could happen
But it wasn't set up that way
When they pay, they would get the workbook and I wouldn't get their email addresses
Anyway, I've managed to fix it now
Thank you, Muslimah for stopping by ;)

What if it was GUARANTEED that YOU couldn't FAIL?
Most people prevent themselves from trying anything new because of fear of failure
What if that was taken away?
Hey Simone,
To be honest, how a person views failure is the MAJOR difference between those who are successful and those who aren't (in ANY walk of life).
Some of the most famous FAILURES include, Thomas Edison, Walt Disney, Charles Darwin, Abraham Lincoln, Steve Jobs, Michael Jordan, Simon Cowell, J.K. Rowling, etc.
Failure is important, and those who veer away from it will find it extremely difficult to EVER find success in their life.
Why?
Because people who choose to avoid failure will never stretch themselves, and they'll always take the easy route.
There are so many famous sayings made by famous people about things like "getting out of your comfort zone", "not taking the easy option", "success is supposed to be hard", etc.
Here's something else to think about, if it was "guaranteed that you couldn't fail", some people would prove that wrong, and still fail, LOL!!
If you want me to be honest, and slightly controversial, some of the initial attitudes conveyed by many new people to the platform actually proves they haven't got what it takes.
Why?
Because they're looking for the easy option because this is what they have done their entire life.
We all know the Einstein quote about "doing the same things, expecting different results = insanity", and yet a huge percentage of the world's population simply don't understand this.
This doesn't mean that a person can't be successful, but that invovles completely changing themselves as a person (which involves NOT taking the easy route, pushing yourself beyond your limits, and FAILING).
Here's a prime example of something that many people do in everyday life, and something I have often advised or trained others on.
Someone is looking to lose weight, so they starve themselves and eat lettuce for 6 weeks.
Ridiculous!!
Only the extremely mentally strong could see that 6 weeks out, and if someone has got themselves into a position of being extremely overweight, and having to "diet" in this way, they have proven that they CURRENTLY aren't mentally strong!
If that person miraculosly gets through that 6-week period, what do they do?
They go back to eating the way they always did.
Do they really expect to keep the weight off by going back to their previous bad habits?
What is actually required is a complete change of lifestyle.
I won't eat crisps, chips, pizza, ice cream and burgers every day, but I won't starve myself either.
I'll eat healthily, but still have the occasional treat, and once in a while I'll have a complete blowout.
But, the majority of the time, for the rest of my life, I'll eat healthy and get plenty of exercise.
This second person is far more likely to be successful because they understand that 6 weeks of extreme hardship just isn't going to cut it!!
And that's something else that us humans do, we set ridiculous targets in order to "achieve success".
Guess what, success is actually BORING.
It's simply about setting up good habits and focusing on them every single day!
That's it!
Unfortuantely, and especially in the 21st century, people will always take the easy route.
You have two choices in life:
Hard now, Easy Later.
Easy Now, Hard Later.
An example of "easy now, hard later" - I'll eat what I want and I won't exercise because I want to "enjoy my life"
Later - you have diabetes, you're overweight, you have difficulty breathing, you can't play with your grandkids, you don't have any money, and you are constantly suffering mentally and physically at a time when your mind and body isn't as strong as it once was.
And this is what most people don't get - make your life hard while you're younger, fitter, and stronger (mentally and physically). You do that, and life WILL be easy when you SHOULD be relaxing as you approach old age!!
Dr. Partha has spoken, Hahahahahaha!!
Yes,Partha has DEFINITELY spoken
And all of these was what I was getting at.
I especially like this part of your response
"Here's something else to think about, if it was "guaranteed that you couldn't fail", some people would prove that wrong, and still fail, LOL!!"
I will now use your response to point to other members who don't understand
Thank you ;)
Hey Simone, it would truly be a miracle if we could ALL not be so afraid to fail... but then it might be a boring journey too... maybe. ;-)
I know it would be boring for me
I would become a seasoned procrastinator
Because my success 8s already in the bag
You're on point, Trish, it would definitely be a boring journey :)
Hi, Simone
That's quite an interesting premise.
A lack of self-confidence or a previously unsuccessful attempt can be a powerful driver of fear of failure. However, on the other side of that coin, and to a lesser degree, some people are afraid of success.
Here's my general approach:
Whenever possible and practical, I do what I enjoy in life. I'm not afraid to start something and stop if I determine it's not for me, although I'm careful with investment capital.
If I liked it, I would do whatever I must to make it happen, so failure is not an option. But, on the other hand, if it didn't suit me, I'd consider it more of an explored avenue in life than a failure.
To me, this is different than aspiring to do something but never achieving results due to a lack of effort.
If I were guaranteed that I could not fail at something I had no interest in, I would likely walk the other way. Haha, that's probably my Italian genes talking! 😎
Rock On! 🤘

Lovely and detailed response, Frank
I am of the same mindset as you
I will always try my best to do anything especially if I'm interested in it
I will not walk away so easily but might give it a break and come back with a fresh approach
I hate giving up on anyone or anything
I prefer to take away the positive points and put it to good use somewhere else than giving up altogether
'What if it was GUARANTEED that YOU couldn't FAIL'
What a boring life it would be. It's like having a genie and three wishes. I wouldn't use one of my three wishes asking never to fail. I would use one to ask me to fail. It's the only way to learn and grow as a person.
That is just my take. Have a super day.
Paul
Lol
Your take on this in very interesting
To clarify it a bit
Most people prevent themselves from trying anything new because of fear of failure
What if that was taken away?
How would they approach their business?
My answer NM is this.
Learn to fail and then learn to succeed.
Paul ;-)
Edit - in that order.
Edit 2 - 'How would they approach their business'. They wouldn't have a business. They would learn nothing if it's put on a plate for them.
I would define my success as a three times ROI, and I would put $100,000 into a Direct Mail Postcard campaign.

I've subscribed to a website to get a free audit report several months ago.
I try to correct whatever the audit report says that I need to fix each month.
I'm just
Hey Simone,
Do you really want my opinion on this? Hahaha
Realistically, it comes down to who's doing the audit and what they're using to do it.
And, this usually comes down to sticking your url through a tool (and you know how much I hate tools, LOL).
Case in point, if you stuck my exercise site through Ubersuggest it will tell you that I'm ranking for about 10,000+ keywords and those keywords are producing around 4,000 visitors a month in TOTAL.
So, I could pay Neil Patel for an audit, probably get charged $1,000+ for the privellge, and then Neil would tell me the reason I'm not getting any traffic is because I'm targeting keywords with no traffic.
I would then say, "No Neil, in your face, because even though your tool tells you that my website is only producing 4,000 visitors a month, I in fact have at least 5 articles on the site that produce 4,000+ visitors EACH PER MONTH, and I have close to 500 articles on the site in total"
I will also say that there other tools that say my monthly traffic is between 20,000-30,000 visitors a month - NOPE, still wrong and not even close.
Additionally, I do know that there are Wealthy Affiliate members who offer an audit service (all done with legitimately through adverts on their own site).
I have had a member ask me to look over their site, and then say that I put more time and effort into providing feedback than when they paid someone to do a full audit.
This is why I no longer look over people's sites btw.
I don't think I should be giving my time for free when they have been charged $200-$500 by someone else, and received less information from them.
As I say, the vast majority of "audits" will involve sticking your site through a tool and then giving you feedback based on that.
It's much the same as if I were to install an SEO plugin and suddenly find that ALL my articles probably have an SEO score of less than 20 (everyone would be up in arms and say that's terrible and that I must change ALL 500 articles on my site).
However, if my articles are ranking, producing huge amounts of traffic, why would I listen to what a tool has told me?
Barry's kinda nailed it for me - self audit is the best way to start, based on the figures you have access to via your analytic tools.
Something else I'll add is that many people are probably not producing the results they hoped for based on a few factors:
- Targeting "keywords" that have huge page one competition.
- Targeting a braod niche (I don't actually think this is a bad thing, and it's what I do anyway, but you have to realise it will take longer to rpoduce results, and you have to add about 5x the content you would for a really well drilled-down sub-niche.
- Not having initially gained some traction in the search engines first before settling into a more regular writing and publishing schedule...
I'm not a fan of the oft used WA saying, "2-3 articles a week".
Yes, I know time availability, knowledge, learning curve, etc. all play a part, but I also feel that you have to gain traction first before settling to something less.
Case in point, the site Diane and myself have, I made sure we publsihed 57 articles in the first 57 days.
Since then we've settled back into something much easier. In fact, we've only added around 10 articles in the last 6 weeks, and yet traffic increases week-to-week, month-to month.
An audit will always involve sticking your website url through a paid tool and then providing feedback based on what tool says.
All tools would say that my exercise site is a complete failure, I know very, very, very different (plus, I've often shared traffic stats with you all here, so you can see that it's going well).
As always, just my humble opinion.
Partha

Thanks for the detailed post. It sums it up nicely. (ok, not really a summary, but still good advice). It is what I was thinking and it is always nice to have our own ideas reinforced.
I am finally being more consistent with posting content. Not up to you and Diane yet, but definitely better than I was.

I know, but, I think Partha has trouble with keeping things short. He seems to have so much helpful content to share, that I am sure he could go on and on. But, he has his own business to run, and I am grateful for what he does share.

If you follow the training that WA provides, if you watch the site health report WA provides, if you watch your Google Search Console report really you don't need any more Site audit reports.
Tools like seoptimer.com which is free may present the into in a different manner which highlights things for you, but paying for a site audit is not necessary and from our perspective will not help in earning more. They are a business too trying to make money.
Keep writing more original niche related content. Remember to have 70% of your posts as informational.

How you feeling today. I got carried away and only wrote 1 very good post about 1700 words. Blah blah..
But what I’m trying to say, is I don’t want to lose quality over quantity. And I know you feel the same.Still on track..
But back to face to face teaching, so….let’s see. He he
I will do it..
That's exactly the way how I feel as well
And that is why I'm taking it a bit slow choosing keywords accurately and then doing the post
It doesn't matter whatever we do Yes it's a competition and yes it's a challenge, but quality does matter
Couldn't do that exercise
Not feeling well today
But I'm still on track
if you add the embed code into a html block and edit it with the code

you see the start and end markers in the line ...they relate to seconds from the start ...
so you will need to find where you want to to start and stop and add these...

I love to learn
And the Wealthy Affiliate platform continues to provide an amazing wealth of knowledge
Sometimes I used to feel overwhelmed when I didn't know how t
Happy New Year,
you touched a sensitive point that not only relates to WA, but the internet in general too. I defined subject oriented folders on my desktop to store blogs I think are useful, but for what I have no time to read and remember it now. My screen is bombarded every day with relevant information (I am a learning adict), but I can only read a small portion per day. I need to keep time left to write and build by online business. And what about giving attention to my wife and social network (off-line and online). I have set myself into the mode of, do what is necessary today and when the rest is needed I will try to find it back, either in my folders or online. Is this the type of answer you are looking for?
Sort of lol
All those info will engulf you if you don't sort them out soon
Try and sort them.out under headings and topic
Si that you will get it all organised and easily accessible when you're ready
Hey Simone,
Here's a video to show you what I use: Bookmarking Posts, Training, etc, and How to Find Later and how to find them again...
And, I've also created a desktop folder clearly labeled with shortcuts added to that folder with relevant WA training.
Hope you find this helpful.
That's awesome
What I'm concerned about is how do you find a specific thing in that bookmark post?
Not sure why that would be an issue. If you prefer one part of a tutorial, you would simply bookmark that page or lesson as it is labeled.
Posts and training are not usually all that long, so I'm a bit baffled as to why you would need to find a specific thing in that bookmark.
Having said that... I have found posts online that are lengthily but offered one paragraph that fit my need... so I would simply add THAT screen printed paragraph, along with a shortcut to that post to a specific folder on my desktop.
Labeled the same (except the file extensions, of course) and they will stay together within the folder.
Thank you for your explanation
Sometimes I find that when members ask questions, there is always someone that over delivers in their response
If that response is something that I don't know anything about, instead of bookmarking the entire thing, I would screenprint that section and add it to a folder of similar topic.
But DO keep the URL too, as I didn't do that at first and then kicked myself afterwards, as I couldn't use it to quote the post.
Keeping a shortcut to a post is not a hog on computer memory.
That's a very good question Simone, There must be a backup for tracking some information in WA Because it happens sometimes that the WA is down and you can not access any info from WA. so its better to have some folder or any kind of system that could able to access the WA in times of network shutdown.
Simone, that is a great tip, you slid in right at the end of 2021 to help make sense of 2022…
I previously created a folder only to find the folder got bigger and bigger which in turn means I never access it…
I hope you have a wonderful and prosperous 2022…🥳
Lol

What do you use to keep track of all the information at wa?

From what I know, customers will click on Paypal to check out.
Then create an account, and log in with their email address and password to access the course or material.
Yes, that could happen
But it wasn't set up that way
When they pay, they would get the workbook and I wouldn't get their email addresses
Anyway, I've managed to fix it now
Thank you, Muslimah for stopping by ;)
Great!
Glad you got it resolved.
Me too :)
