What's the REASON behind your motivation? Is your behaviour POSITIVE?
Several years ago I saw an advertisement for a free seminar.
Intrigued, I returned to watch it. I'm so glad I did. That seminar changed my total focus, and it is a large part of who I am today.
I've learned that human beings act negatively as a cry for help or attention.
But what's their reason?
I was intrigued by the reason behind the negative behaviour.
This seminar encouraged me to start my psychotherapy training—one of the best moments of my life. I then got the chance of a lifetime to work in a male prison for five years. Another joyous milestone covered.
Discipline
In the Caribbean, we are discipline with beating either with straps, belt, garden hose etc. That's the culture. I always thought while growing up that there must be another way.
I don't think anyone questioned the reason behind our behaviours.
Now that I have my children, sometimes my other children view the way I handle the situation as being unfair. Still, I always need to know what's the reason behind any negative behaviour before discipline.
Wealthy Affiliate
Now we are here today at Wealthy Affiliate to build our business. It is a lifeline for some as well as a second chance for others.
What is the reason behind you doing what you do?
A timely private message came to my attention this morning while I was writing this blog. I was by another member who feels very frustrated with what is happening and how other members treat them.
Even though we are all here to learn and make a name for ourselves, sadly, some members are still not very productive in their activity.
Are you doing what you set out to do?
When you leave a response to a post, what goes through your mind when you do so.
Do you think about the long-lasting impact that your words will have? Please don't forget how powerful words are to every one of us.
Do you always provide added value when you respond to a post?
What is the reason behind your motivation?
Until next time,
Simone

I spent too much time being negative in my younger days, although I know there were reasons for it, that energy didn't get me very far. Being positive, kind and compassionate to others everyday is what always motivates me - an attitude of gratitude and my energy keeps flowing.
Thanks for sharing another great and thought provoking post Simone.
Blessings
Tracy
We all had that problems when we were younger Tracy.
It is awesome to reflect that those days have changed now for both of us
Tracy, continue to keep the momentum as you go about your journey
Hi Simone,
Words are very powerful. They can impact your life for better or for worse. I am a very positive person but sometimes I can be very negative to myself.
When I comment on other people posts I do my best to add valuable comments. Thanks for sharing this thought provoking post! Wishing you the very best!
Kind regards,
Nichola
Nichola, I do love your insights
" I am a very positive person but sometimes I can be very negative to myself"
We all are at that point sometimes with most reason unknown.
Adding value to someone else's post portrays our ouoik and the type of person that we are.
It is always a pleasure hearing from you.
Part of the problem is, no compassion, we are all here to learn something, like myself I may need more then others. Today I went to the grocery store, and as I walked towards my vehicle, the young lady that was next to me was parked a little to close, that she had to squeeze into her, without hitting mine. There was an empty spot on the other side of her, and next to that was where you put your empty cart. Do you know instead of walking maybe 5 to 8 more steps to put the cart back, this young lady just left it in the empty spot and left. This really made me feel sorry for the next person trying to park. So I got out of my vehicle to put the cart back. We need to think about others and treat them the way we want to be treated.
Gwendolyn, you have highlighted a very good point - our compassion towards others and treating others as we would like to be treated.
Your actions tells me a lot about you as a person. Thank you for being you. I appreciate hearing from you
Thank you, I love your response, We should stop, and think before saying something, to someone. We just might make that person day!

I agree with you Simone, words can may or break us. We especially tend to remember the negatives more than the positives.
It is my aim to provide value, even though it may not always appear that way.
Many times my motive is to provide positive feedback and to encourage others.
This also depends on the topic.
Nice post, great food for thought.
Melanie
Words are indeed very powerful Melanie
That is why we need to be careful of how we use them and what we say
Providing good value regarding comments should always be our main priority.
