The POWER of self talk! Talk your way to SUCCESS!
There is a strange tradition in our family. We all talk to ourselves!
When I was younger, I used to hear my dad laughing and talking while having a shower in the bathroom and it made me wonder what was he and mom doing that was so funny
Later on, I realised that was dad's way of relieving a stressful day.
When I grew up, I caught myself talking to myself. This could be while I was walking, running, or even on my way to work. I used to get some funny looks while I was on the road and doing it.
Changes
Something changed for me and I became so scared that I didn't want to leave the house. I started to have panic attacks at just the thought of venturing outside.
One day, I realise how much fear had taken control of me and I, hesitantly at first started scolding myself, telling myself that there was nothing to be scared about.
Positive effect
I realised that the more that I talked, the less fearful I became. That was a positive turning point for me.
I then saw that there were more advantages in talking positive words to yourself, and it didn't matter if anyone thought you were insane.
Today
I used this process to motivate myself today when it seemed as if I was not going to complete another 2000 words article.
I kept on saying that:
- I can
- I will
- It will be done whenever I felt sleepy or I felt as if I was writing off track
We face many distractions in our online business of which sometimes it can't be helped.
We do need to have our goal imprinted in our minds at all times
Don't forget: No quality rich content = No traffic = no money

Oh my. Well, Simone, this is indeed becoming a little weird but if we read this common book it says, "He will confirm his words by the mouth of two or three witnesses."
I subscribe to the words.
Words are the most powerful things in our lives. I've begun to use this tool in the last year. I daily confess the things I desire.
I did it before but I am more consistent now.
The truth is like you I speak to myself or my situation while going down the road. Because I feel so weird about it I usually put on my headphones as though I am on the phone.
I find it necessary but still strange. Lol

I do talk to myself a lot during the day. When I am having a difficult moment, I talk myself out of it most times. Also, when I am being lazy, I will talk to myself and it will get me motivated to do what I need to get done.
Some people say when your talk to yourself it is a sign of craziness or you have money in the bank. However, one of my best friends says it is a sign of intelligence. You were able to overcome your fear. It works for you so continue to do it! Thanks for sharing this wonderful post about your personal experiences!

I also talk to myself. It gives me motivation & encouragement as I look ahead & plan the next day.
I have a daily routine of taking an afternoon walk, for exercise & be away from my laptop, thus clearing my head & be invigorated for a good day to follow.
