Have you ever experience this sinking feeling after being rejected?

What about being told that you did not make the team?

Are you ignoring the clue that not everything is going well with your online business?

Have you bitten off more than you can chew?

Do you make plans to push harder and up your game so that you can be accepted next time around?

Or do you take a step back, reflect and wonder why did things go wrong?

Big Decision

After I was recruited to England several years ago, I left my job after four days because I did not feel safe.

Walking away from my job was a big decision for me to make in a strange and new country.

I started to work as an agency nurse while trying to seek permanent employment.

I send thousands of job applications to places that I had no idea about the location. As long as the job description interests me, I made an application for that job.

Rejections and Actions

It was heartbreaking to see the many rejection emails that I received.

However, I did not let that held me back because I was determined to gain permanent employment.

Nevertheless, these rejections made me stop and reflect on what was going on.

It was vital for me to ask questions, get feedback to be able to carry on.

After several feedbacks and clarifications, I pressed on until I found the job of my dreams.

7 Questions regarding our decisions

  • Do you view rejection as red flags, or do you see it as a means to push forward?
  • How do you feel when an affiliate program rejects your application?
  • Do you see it as a warning sign to stop, reflect and seek answers regarding your rejection?
  • If you seek answers, do you take the necessary actions and prepare your website to get a second chance?
  • What about your health warning signs that you do need to stop working so hard?
  • Is this ignored because you are near the finishing line and feel that it will not be harmful if you go a little longer?
  • Do you consider complacency and lack of growth a red flag?

Time to take action

We have all been there at some points on this journey.

Most times, our red business flags help us stop, reflect, and take action.

Sometimes we are carried away by our enthusiasm when we first started. It made us feel as if we are superwoman/man, and we have all this energy to go forward.

If we reflect and find that we are either regularly chasing shiny objects or standing still in one position without making any positive headway

We need to stop, read and listen to the red flags warnings before continuing on our journey.

It is not wise to continue on a long journey knowing that you have a flat tire.

Until next time,

Simone

When you apply for affiliate programs, it is not uncommon to be rejected. It happened to me too. Once I applied for a product, I was using myself. But got rejected. My website was not new, had already 50+ posts and having traffic, and it applied to my niche. So when rejected, I send a mail to ask why I was rejected so I could learn from it or fix so I could reapply. Never got an answer,..poor service if you ask me. It made me stop using their product as a customer and looking for an alternative.
Thanks for the share, Simone.

That was not a nice experience for you Luc
And now it makes the mind boggles.
What exactly was their reason for rejecting you?
I do hope this has not prevented you from applying to more programs

You are appreciated.

After pursuing many jobs, events or investments where they were red flags, I've learned not to ignore them.
For me it's a warning that something is wrong, or the timing may not be right.
Years ago, I was trying in invest in some sort of program, and I could not get the money to go through to the company, but I kept trying. It turned out to be not so profitable afterall.
That was a red flag moment that I did not recognized at the time.

Great post, very insightful.

Melanie

Thank you for sharing your experience Melanie. Sometimes we diligently pursue things that are not good for us.
I'm happy you were not scarred from your experiences and now you have the insight to assess before jumping in.
I appreciate hearing from you. Always a pleasure.

You're welcome Simone

Awesome :)

Until now I have been bullish about red flags. I just ran head on into them. There was this business proposition with screaming red flags.
Every fiber in me screeched that I should have none of it. I still went ahead and made such massive investments that I still regret up until this day

Dada, I'm really sorry about those experiences.
I do think that you have learned from them
I believe you will assess, reflect before being a part of any business venture that screams red flag.

Thanks for the post Simone I love the flat tyre analogy,

The more we try to drive with a flat tyre the more dangerous and damaging it will become.

I remember when I first started particularly with Amazon with the 3 sales needed within the first 180 days to be accepted.

I got rejected three times as I didn't make the three sales required I could have given up on them but instead, I joined again and again until that day came when I got the needed sales and it continues along the way.

Amazon may not be as great for affiliates as it used to be with the commission structure as it keeps getting lower but I see it as still getting something compared if I gave up the first, second, or third time.

Thank you once more

You are Appreciated

Andre :)

Andre, you are spot on
You used your rejection as an opportunity to make the criteria that Amazon needed.
You did not give up, you persisted in getting what you wanted.
Well done!

Red flags and Rejection. Mine not in business.
I think I have that after I graduated from high school. My uncle was supposed to be want to shoulder all the expenses for my college.
But he wants me to take the course Pharmacist. But I told him, uncle, I'm not too fond of that course, then he told me that if you do not want to take that pharmacist course, I don't want to spend any centavo on your schooling—marked word. When I heard that from him, I was soo sad and hopeless about my future as my father had a problem with his health at that moment unstabled Hypertension, the company told him to rest. What I did was look for a job at the Orphanage, and I was lucky I could continue my studies as a working student until I finished my 4 years course. Sorry my friend, Simone, that's the only one I can share.
Joyce

Joyce , that is so sad. I'm.sorry you had that experience.
I hope you no longer think of that with sadness and you think of it as a learning experience that it is.

Now you are proving your worth here as a business entrepreneur

Happy for you to be here, my friend
Thank you for sharing your experience

You are welcome, my friend, Simone!
I quickly remembered that when I saw your post. Anyway, Thanks to God, he helps me to find my own way to success. That time I was determined to found a job to be able to continue my studies. That's the magic of being positive, my friend; you invite good vibes along your way. After I graduated, I found another opportunity at the travel Agency, a better monthly salary. So, don't give up!
Thanks,
Joyce

Absolutely, positive thoughts are the way

Thank you, my friend, Simone.
Stay positive and be happy!
Your friend always,
Joyce

Thank you.
Likewise
