Have you GIVEN UP on yourself? There is always LIGHT at the end of the tunnel!
Yesterday I talked to a friend of mine, and I encouraged her to start a business for herself.
We lost contact, and we were catching up on each other's lives.
Her responses shocked me. My heart melted at her words.
- "It is already too late for me."
- "There is nothing more that I can do with my life."
- "I have nothing more to offer."
- "No one would want me anyway."
She is 39 years old and has four children. She also has had multiple disastrous relationships.
Life has not worked out the way she had envisaged.
She has now given up on herself.
Change your mindset
I cannot count the number of times that I had fallen over.
Fallen to the ground
Started back time and time again from ground zero
Hope was the only thing I was clutching unto with the single stream of light at the end of the tunnel.
I am speaking from experience when I say
If you want to build your business, you have to change your mindset.
Build your business step by step as the training teacher out is taught on the training.
Stop worrying about other members who have a celebration post.
You will get there
Focus and stop losing hope
I was feeling a bit discouraged regarding my weight loss website. I took some time away from it to reflect and consider the direction to take, but I was still unsure what advice to take.
So I reached out to members for some assistance. Thank you to Partha and Phil. I can't thank you enough.
- You can do this too.
- I know it seems long, but you will get there.
- Yes, I understand that you are not me, but I have been where you are
- I know it is tough, but please, can you still hold on?
Focus and look for that stream of light at the end of the tunnel.
You are not alone
I was alone because I never used to share, so it was super-difficult for me.
You have a lovely community that will help you get there.
All you have to do is to reach out and ask for help.
The community is excellent in helping, but we can be there for you if you let us.
- Reach OUT to someone today
- STOP struggle by yourself!
- It is NOT all DOOM and GLOOM!
- There is still HOPE at the end of your tunnel.
Until next time,
Simone

Reminds me of a post I wrote around April of last year, Simone! Wealthy Affiliate IS the Light at the End of the Tunnel! Even Without A Sales Funnel! Jeff
Went to read that blog, absolutely true. You and Simone are ambassadors for a reason 😎 Let us enjoy the light and the support within and at the end of this tunnel
First, I would make sure that light at the end fo the tunnel is not a train coming towards me. I've taken my share of hits and getting knocked down along the way. I actually get encouraged from reading other's celebration posts, some motivation to keep moving forward in the right direction.
Appreciate the post, Simone
Isaiah 😊
Thank you Isaiah for your comments.
Although you've taken your share of hits, you are now here sharing your story
I appreciate you stopping by.
It is a pleasure hearing from you
Simone, Beautiful complexion, you must work at keeping it that way. Skin problems for me, was because the sun was worshipped, when I was a kid. People bought suntan lotion, not
sunscreen, and over the youth years, many times I had sunburns.
Turned into eczema, psoriasis, and more
Recently, I fought squamous cell carcinoma, (skin cancer) for a year or so.
Lost $60,000 of income in 2019/2020 due to that and the pandemic.
WA was discovered, and I am trying to unlearn/relearn the WA way. My biggest problem is finding the time. Too many irons in
the fire, working on them daily to eliminate or reduce the probs,
and get on with learning WA.
There are some really impressive
people on WA, which keeps me daily interested to continue.
I lived in San Diego for 30 years, my youngest son was born there.
While there, I earned my BSME in 1983, my MBA in 1987.
I needed a Sociology class as part of my curriculum at San Diego
State University. First class, the professor said: "Anyone who
wants an A for this class, can do this, and write a paper about your first hand experiences and observations. "
Spend 24 hours on the streets of Downtown SD, where the
homeless congregate and live. I got an A for that class.
You have NO IDEA, the things I observed during that experiment.
Horrible, inhumane conditions, disgusting, reprehensible !
I did not sleep, too dangerous, they rob or beat up the weaker ones. An experience I will never forget, but OM golly, never again.
I'm so sorry to hear about your not so good experiences Ron
It is awesome that you're now here sharing your experiences.
Thank you for stopping by.
It is pleasure hearing from you
Simone, but the best thing is that it gets better.
It MUST get better, a person must learn to make it better,
Sadly....I have learned that WE as individuals sometimes MUST
ask for help or assistance to learn how to do something.
People need to not just hear you, they must LISTEN to what
you have to say. Example: Three first cousins in the same family,
took themselves out. The family doesn't know why, or doesn't
want to talk about it. Too Late !
Keep Smiling, hang with the Positive people, dump the Negatives!
That's how I Roll !
I am 66 years old and am just starting out with WA. So easy to shut down and think it is over but you have to keep going. Life can be tough but you have to believe that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Self talk can be either destructive or empowering. I hope your friend can move forwards with hope and a purpose. We do measure ourselves against other people - but how amazing is your friend to be bringing up 4 children. Sometimes we want more, but perhaps we need to focus on how we can improve on what we already have..
I had a friend very much like your friend. Extremeley depressed and just wanted to sleep or shut down all day. She has 3 children who needed her to be there for them. We got together and did a brainstorm and ended up decorating her house and cleaning each room and looking for bargains to cheer her house up. I just went round 1 day a week and we did it all in stages. She then found a volunteer job so that she could work just when the children were at school. She is in a much better place now. She needed to know that she had a purpose and discovered that her purpose was at home but also enjoyed doing some volunteering too.
Thank you for being so supportive and willing to help others. Self talk can be destructive or empowering.
Janice
Janice, self- talk can certainly do that.
I am.a positive belief in the power of self talk. It all starts with a positive mindset, attitude and approach.
My friend lives in a country that she has little support. I will not give up on her.
I will keep on trying until I get through to her.
Janice, thank you for stopping by.
It is a pleasure hearing from you

I guess the reason I love reading your posts is because you're not one to give up (like me). It bothers me to see people give up on themselves because THEY are the one it is hurting. I'm all about helping others in any way I can and you seem to be too. If I can help you or anyone else in ANY way I'm here for ya. Thanks for another great post Simone!
It is heartwarming to see that there are others like us who believe in the mantra of never giving up.
