Hello Everyone! My name is Jon.
I just signed up to Wealthy Affiliate. As many of you out there I imagine, I am here to start my online adventure into Affiliate Marketing. I am currently working as an utility worker in a hospital. While it does pay the bills, and keep me going, I still dream of having enough to not only pay off my debts, but sustain myself and my family without the headache of working for someone else, or the thought of looking at my boss anymore. LOL! Seriously, I am here to make a real go of this and I look forward to meeting everyone here and building a brighter future together.
Otherwise, I do have a background in computers. I have a computer support specialist certificate and am quite capable with computers. That is mostly the technical side of computers though. The hardware aspect, windows, software, and operating aspects. It ought to be an asset here, but I am also very willing to answer any questions about issues you may be having with your computers. I love computers!

Jonathan, I see you are making some good progress through the Affiliate Bootcamp. Just wanted to pop by and see if you need a hand with anything?

That's very encouraging to know that everyone that went through bootcamp has an online business creating income. I have just completed the 4th lesson in course 1. I'm almost done lesson 5, which was easy of course. So I am going to try and get through lesson 6, or at least start it today.
Yes it can be overwhelming. I know the thinking part can be a real hang up That's what happened to me with lesson 4 for a number of days. It was like a mental block. I finally decided to plow through it and just do it even if I didn't understand completely or know what I was doing exactly. The initial not understanding part made no difference to completing the tasks and just understanding how to perform the task. I know it will all click and come together since it is just a piece of the puzzle. That's where I think my mind was stuck on a piece rather than knowing it as part of the whole. So I know too as you already said before that it will become second nature. I'm very thankful for your encouragement!
I am determined that even to reach my goals. I want to become successful at this not only for myself, but my wife. We want to be free from our current jobs to travel and do more important things in life. I already know of one person here that has already attained that freedom by supporting himself and his wife.

It will all click and it will all come together. Like anything new, it will seem very much foreign at first but as you take action on what you learn, that is where the really learning and the real comfort will derive out of.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".
I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I am some glad you asked. That is exactly what is going on. I had decided reviewing products would be an excellent way to grab someone's attention. I went ahead and purchased two domains, but now I am thinking I may have jumped the gun with the names I chose. The two sites are listed on the side of my profile, legittest.com, and heavenswarehouse.com. I was going to review products with legittest.com and either review or just straight supply needs to christians through the other site.
Do you think the domain's are specific enough? Can I use a subdomain for reviewing say smart bulbs, and how effective are subdomains versus just a domain itself? I would rather the best option, so please let me know which one that is.
Also, since I decided a straight review site is too broad of a scope. Do you think smart bulbs are a wise choice for a niche? For heavenswarehouse.com do you think I could just start small and scale up, or should I have went with a more specific domain name/niche?

I wouldn't get into use sub domains for your niche, I would also use the root of the domain to operate your business. It will lead to much better rankings as you only want ONE niche/website per domain.

Wow, thanks a lot Kyle. That certainly gives me more direction with what I am going to do with those websites. It also gives me a much better perspective on how to approach things as I create these websites. I can't thank you enough for these things alone.

Welcome to WA. There's lots of information here at WA so don't let it overwhelm you. Start by taking the training in the Training Center. I also suggest going to potpiegirls blog. You will find info there that will get you started including some videos. Then go to either magistudio's blog or up to the Wabinars and go to the two videos I feel will jump start you in the right direction. There entitled An Affiliate Walk through 1 & 2.
