I have two blogs and am considering a Hub Page. Even though I have been studying the Hub Page, I'm still not sure if it is good to have a Hub Page in addition to a blog, or have

Yes. The most "search engine friendly" platform in the world is Word Press.

Period.

Anyone else who tells you otherwise is flat out lying. That's even why WA endorses all of us in the community to build on the Word Press Platform when creating our websites. Plus Word Press is enterprise and commercial ready, which means you can scale it out as far and as big as your business will get, and it's still bulletproof and can handle your traffic.

Quick point: begin with the end in mind.

The bigger question I recommend you ask yourself is why you are attracted to Hub Page? Is the community in there your audience? What's your intention and purpose behind writing there? Remember: everything you do involves time you can never get back, so ask yourself, no matter what medium or platform you're considering, whether or not writing, marketing and advertising there is a high payout activity for you.

That's why Word Press has so many sophisticated layouts and designs. As long as you have your pages in the proper sequence when performing your layout and design, the search engines will readily recognize your site as a blog.

I've ran into several platforms who claimed they had the same juice, but NOTHING compares.

Please don't believe a word I say on this one. Go out there and research some of the most successful websites through Alexa rankings, and I guarantee you they are built on Word Press, even if they don't look like it.

Still showing as unanswered after 3 years. Closing out with a comment.

Hubpages and Squidoo are used often for back linking. However, since back linking has less importance to search engines, i.e., they don't hold as much weight as they used to, then using a site like Hubpages isn't going to be as beneficial.

However, people may still click through to your website from a hubpage but that will not be the most traffic that you will get. Your biggest traffic gains are going to be from relevant and useful content on your own blogs.

Best Regards,
Jim
