Only acknowledgement is not always good enough, there are pictures you have to pay for. Most of the time they will tell you what is expected. Be careful and thorough using pictures.

Good to know. Is there a way to quickly identify which pictures are free to use and which ones you can acknowledge vs. the ones that cost money to use?
If you search in Google images you can clearly distinguish between those that are free and those that are not. Pixabay is another great choice. Instructions and many sources are given in this text:
