Someone with experience using different file extension? I am tempted to use .xyz but I don't know if that wil sacrifice traffic.

well, ok I think the .com convinced me again. Thank you all

Hi there
According to Kyle's training, Search Engines grasp more of the dot com domains than any other.
If domains are the topic...
Cheers!

Greetings Lissette!

The biggest advantage to the .com TLD is that people remember it easily - which means you'll get a bit more traffic if someone is jotting down your URL, typing it into their browser, or passing it verbally on to a friend.

The biggest disadvantages are cost (possibly), and the fact that the 'off' TLDs aren't as jammed with domains - so it may be easier to find a URL that's short and easy to remember. (!!)

I know, I'm a man of many contradictions ;)

It makes little difference if they are simply clicking on a link they see in the search engine, social share, etc, or if they are bookmarking your site.

... you pays your money, you takes your chances!

I've seen lots of profile pictures with the ocean or with mountains in the background - I believe yours is the first I've seen with construction going on in the background, and construction at night at that! What's with that?

...curiouser and curiouser!

I don't remember pretty well. But that picture I guess what outside of a restaurant

Ok, I found the picture. The picture was taken in a restaurant building that look like a ship but I cut it. That is why look like that. :)

Got it! It's just an unusual background is all!!

Dennis

I didn't make it on purpose. :) I didn't think in the background.

I'm not sure what you mean by "different file extension"... There are so many different extentions for so many different things, you will have to be a bit more specific so the community knows what you are talking about. It helps us help you if you know what I mean :)

is the xyz

Do you mean domain here?

file extension .xyz
