Focus On Your Buyers As People And Not Just A Meal Ticket!
This has come about because I ordered a new chair to sit on while working at my PC, not very exciting I know.
But stay with me for the moment.
Now I ordered the chair off Amazon, it took 9 days to get to me and arrived with no packaging at all. Having paid nearly £9 for delivery which I consider to be expensive I accepted the chair because I was desperate for it.
My original chair had broken and I was using a hard kitchen chair which isn't very comfortable to sit on for long periods of time.
I did contact the Company over my order but they took 3 days to reply with some lame excuse about the delivery of my new chair.
I feel that they were only interested in the order and not the customer.
The customer is the most important thing and because of how I had been treated my feedback on Amazon was not a good one, I only gave them one star with some points of why I was unhappy.
It doesn't matter if you promote WA or not but if you are selling a product or a service be mindful of the fact that your buyers are real people.
These people will share their points of view on the main social media sites and this can have a huge impact on your business.
Be honest with your buyers and treat them how you like to be treated yourself.
I know from experience that the customer isn't always right however you must be above having an argument over whether what you delivered is really what they wanted.
With that in mind never embellish what you are providing because this can come back and bite you hard.
Always Give, Give and Give again, never be just a taker!

Hi Neil - hope after all that the chair is comfortable! You're so right - people should not just be seen as a meal ticket. :) Beverley
I agree, when we are writing posts and pages on our websites, we need to be constantly asking ourselves what value we are giving the reader. Is it helpful? And is it fun to read.
This is the mainstay of your business to understand the wants and needs of your readers.
Not to write buy me now type posts but offer something of value.
Totally agree. It's not just about writing quality content but also about quality service. People come back because they trust you and know you will take care of them. Funny story, I had to replace my chair about a month ago. Those hard kitchen chairs are a great motivator!
You are right Neil. When I am trying to buy something online I don't want to be overloaded with promos etc etc. I want to know if that products works for me and if the review I look is okay I tend to buy that product. :)
You are so right. The customer is important. Thanks for sharing. I hope your chair is working out for you. Debbie
