Thank you for all your comments on here. I have started implementing your thoughts and ideas.

Last week I had someone come to me and ask me if I would help build a website from the ground up, ok sure that's possible. The thing is they want to build it, get traffic, put affiliate links in and....drum roll... SELL IT!

What?

Ok, so that is what I am starting this week!!

Wish me luck

What you have now is an asset. But if you improve its cash flow and increase your audience. By that I mean your monthly visitors email subscribers and your conversions ect. With all that you could sell it around $1 million minimum. That is a big website though. You choice is yours.

Yes, I agree that I need to work it into something of value!

Thank you for your help.

Thanks, everyone, I think I will reactivate the site, and update the SEO and content. Then allow Google to work the google magic and increase traffic.

I guess I knew this but needed the affirmation.

You are all right it will be worth more to me with traffic.

Thanks again, and Happy New Year

flippa.com

Yes, I have looked at this, and will likely put it on flippa once I update the SEO and content. I did the work so might as well get a little more for it that I expected.

Where is the meat? Mean is money. So, build up its digital meat first before selling for significant money; that is the must of a trade. Otherwise, its price would be very nominal - not worth your effort.

Best luck to come,

Chin

"Where us the meat?" ? :)

I'm not sure which would be the best way, but if it's not ranked, you may have trouble selling it. I'm sure you would get more interest in a website that was ranked. I think I'd try selling it as a complete business first. You can always change if you have no interest. I'm no expert, just my personal opinoin.

Don

Thanks, that's all I am looking for opinions and options!

If I were you, I would get it ranked before trying to sell it on Flippa.com. An interested party is going to want to pay more for a site that is ranked already with Google. I think it would bring you a much better ROI. Of course, you could always see what it is valued at first and then make that decision. Just a thought.

Best Wishes,

Anita

Thanks, Anita, it just that it is always on my mind, and I can't seem to just let it sit there until I decide what to do.

You're welcome. I know how it is to not be able to get something off your mind until you decide what to do about it.

Go to www.flippa.com and ask for a valuation of the site.

Thank you!

Ok here is what I was trying to do. I created a blog under my blog on my profile. It was a recipe and it said the content was not original. Well No It wasn't but how i

Great question - thanks for this one, we all need to be aware of how easily the "system" can reject good content.

Dallas

Thanks, and then I had someone tell me I couldn't post a recipe here because I had it posted on a website somewhere! Ooops rules that I don't know about. Won't do that again

Need to think out of the box. How original can you make it.

Done and Done!! Worked well thanks!!

Here are some ideas:
1) Change the title of the recipe:be original
2) Change the order of the ingredients
3) Substitute ingredients. For example, change "add walnuts" to "add pecans or walnuts"
4) Change verbs: "stir" to "mix"; "cook" to "bake"

Excellent will remember this when I go to post my ebook!

Great advice!

Yes, very good advice! :)

Hi Noreen,

Change a few of the words, maybe a couple per paragraph.
Then test it until it doesn't say it's not original.

It's never as easy as that with these checkers...:))

I did and it finally worked.

Thank you,

Oh great. How much did you change?

Hi Noreen that's great. It was already on your website and changing it up a bit is all that's needed.

Just added comments, Use real butter/use white flour/etc.

How clever of you!:)

Make an image out of the recipe and post

Oh, that's a great idea!

Yeah....I know that feeling, it stinks. Other than making a recipe that you feel is yours and people go, Oh my that's good. You find out someone else has the same recipe from 14 years ago or 40 years ago and you're like what? I found if you change a small thing, sometimes a pinch of this or a small change of %%% of spice/ingredient it makes all the difference. Good Luck!!!

Thank you, I did finally manage to get it posted!
But wow it was a lot of work for something so simple!

I know. I've worked at numerous restaurants for years between 1973-1982, learning so much from so many and trying to put it to the test. Created what I thought were my own recipes only to find out people tell me someone else did it.....what do you do? Change it and move on. To this day, so many tell me to open my own Restaurant, but I'm like...Hell No, I know what it takes. $$$$$$$ and a lot of sweat!!

Try to change your title you may have duplicated what is existent, or if you have quoted a paragraph that is what it sees than your bigger original authorship. If that's the case, I have a way to do that which maybe not good but it can be done. If I am to quote for something I do not include it right away. I have to publish first my original and then go to edit and include the quotation I want to include.

Mmmm, never thought of doing that!

I am thankful for all the suggestions and all of them work!

Adding content that you have used in content to a blog here is not allowed because it is considered spam.

ahhh good to know!

I learned something today again!

It was actually just the recipe I was trying to post, so I added my little comments and a write up about the recipe so then it allowed me to post.

But a great BIG NO to just the recipe.

Try to fluffy it up with other contents around it and be creative in your own special way... Please let me know how it turn out.

I am trying that now as we speak. We shall see

It WORKED! Thank you!!!!

If you believe that the recipe you are publishing isn't a duplicate one or authentic from you but our SiteContent insists it is not, then you are free to publish it directly via your Wordpress. Copy the content you are trying to publish with SiteContent, open your Wordpress content composer, paste the whole content in there, and hit publish! Bypass the SiteContent duplicate content checker. (In every rule, there's an exemption)

Thanks, I actually was able to publish it to my website but thought I'd add it here to my profile blog. But NOPE NOT ALLOWED!

Oh, I see. When it comes to publishing recipes, like food recipes, they are better published in our own wordpress sites and not in our WA Profile Blog here.

Yes, I just wanted to share it that's all!

When I am working in site content I no longer have spell check. I use spell check all the time. It is turned on and it works other places, but in the site content part of WA.<

Now I know to. Lol :)

LOL

control +Z , as soon as it disappears...spellchek should return, all!!
Information after, hitting delete and brushing sensitive keys.
Works, so long as you haven't slammed the top to close and go off a beat, something!!
Barb

Thanks I will give it a try

Good you got it sorted out.

Yes, thanks to everyone here!!

Mine is working just fine, a box that has ABC in it.

Oh, that works if I click on it at the end of my writing. Guess I will have to be satisfied with that until I figure out what I have done.

Can you not see the ABC button on the far right of the options menu? That is the spelling, syntax and else reviewer.

Yes, I am using that now, but I like to see mistakes and spelling as I am typing. Just being old school I guess!
The ABC Button is my new best friend!
Thanks for the help

Noreen

Keepon writing and use the ABC to spell check and else my friend. It is great you have a new best friend my friend.
Greetings from México.
Eugenio.

Hi, again, Norren...twice in one day!
Barb

I have had flakey ops on Grammarly the last couple days on WA Posts and Site Content. I would get with support.

Ok Thanks, I will, I just thought I may have inadvertently turned something off. Thanks have a great weekend

At times, I have confronted some difficulty in editing, which may appear in spells lasting 1-2 days. Lately, I have kept up the software update and some rebooting. As a result, my editing has smoothly evolved and improved into the state it is supposed to be.

I am still shy to speak of digital issues, but keep on learning. Just to share my experience.

Besides, you got so much help already from our WA supporting hands.

Best to success,

Chin-ti

Thanks! I likely should reboot and see what happens! I thought of that, but was being lazy about it.
Happy I am not the only one that has glitches and needs help.
Thank you for responding
Noreen

Welcome, Noreen. Just try and see. In addition, I would like to invite you to critique my today's post and www.ebettercare.com so to advise when and how it may be able to monetize its contents.

Chin-ti

Doesn't Site content spell check after you hit save or publish?

It does, but I like to 'see' my mistakes as I type! Until I get it figured out I will have to be satisfied with Site Content Spell Check!!

Hi there:
If you want to see your misspelled words as you type, maybe you should first write in Word and then once you are done copy and paste to wordpress editor?
I hope this helps.
Best regards from México.
Eugenio.

Do you have Grammarly as emergency backup?

Yes, I do! That's not working either!

You should contact support about this. Also, you can install the Grammarly browser extension. I use both :)

I use Grammarly here, it is working as I type this. Grammarly was working on my site content yesterday, but not today!

I thought I had read somewhere on here that Jaaxy was unlimited searches whe you went Premium. Can someone clarify please?

I believe that Jaaxy has several levels that you can join under. You should probably refer to their site for information on what those levels are.

You do get unlimited searches here at WA. Just go down to "Tools" on the left hand side of your screen and click on "Keyword Tool."

Thank you!

You're welcome!

Jaaxy is a separate company.

Yes, knew that, but somewhere I thought it was a freebie with Premium, but maybe I was confusing it with the Keyword Tool

Yes, you are right. You might be confusing it with Keyword Tool. It is not a freebie when going premium at Wealthy Affiliate membership. The unlimited free search is when you go premium at Jaaxy.

If you sign Premium here at Wealthy Affiliate, you get unlimited searches on the WA Keyword tool! That is true and it is really awesome!

Yes I see that it works just about the same! Thanks

Yes, the WA Keyword tool is really good! You're most welcome!

Nope Noreen,

Anyone signing up for a FREE account to Jaaxy can get 30 free limited searches. You would need to pay for a membership to Jaaxy to qualify for unlimited searches.

There is a FREE Keyword Tool here at WA! Hope this helps you.

Thank you, I must have confused the 2

It is unlimited if you sign up for Pro or Enterprise in Jaaxy not premium here at W.A.

Ok Thanks!
