I have a Google Ads and a Google Adsense account but I'm not sure how to set up a campaign to drive traffic to my website. Anyone know of any training or can explain in detail?

Good advice Campino. Especially the warning.

It appears Campino has you covered!
Hope that helps
Sheila

Thank you

Hello, It is not hard to start a campaign, but you need to be very careful if you don't want to get without money very fast.
How old is your site?
You have Kyle's training here

Thanks so much for providing the link to the training. It's about 2 years old but I've only been working on it real heavy for the past year.

You're welcome. Adwords advertising is very complex when you go little deeper with them. Start with small campaign, and be sure that you set up your daily budget. Google ranks your ad not only on price, but also on keyword quality, ad relevancy and your landing page. If you're doing it right you can get on top with less bid price.

Sounds like a plan, thanks so much for the insight because I definitely didn't know that.

I'm currently on course 3, lesson 2 and I want to know folks experience here. I have a good bit of content on my site. Should I be seeing results, as far as sales are concerned

I was told it takes at least three months to make some money but really it can take longer than that. You need to build site trust with Google and other search engines. Generally, you will build site trust at the rate of 10 % per month. I've had my website up almost 3 months and I have 20% site trust. There are a lot of variables to monetizing your site. You can add Google AdSense that will help some. I've made a little bit of money that way. Google will place adds on you site and any time they are clicked on you make money. Hope that helps.

Regards,

Ed

More knowledge will enable you to work smarter and leverage ideas and techniques you don't know about yet. You could be working even better than now so that has to be worth doing.

There is no set time to results it will vary I always say any business takes a good year to get going

See if this answers your question

It can take a good six months to really start seeing results. The search engines want to see you prove that you're a serious business, offering quality information and content.

I know it can feel a little frustrating at first, you want to get moving and seeing results, I've taken a look at your site and I like it. I've read Google starts to take sites serious around the 20 posts mark, so you're heading in the right direction :)

Jay

I do thank you for looking at my site for me Jay. I'm going to keep working hard, I ain't giving up.

Even when you've finished the training, you'll never stop learning. What works for one person may not for you.

I've found simply making friends is the way to go, hook up with people on social media that share your interests, share your site and ask for opinions etc.

You'd be foolish giving up now, just as your getting to that point where things will start happening. But I know you won't, you're too fired up :)

I think later on as you progress through the training. Right now I;m on course 4 and learning how to use the social media sites correctly. I'm seeing steady trickles of traffic flowing in every day and even likes and shares on Twitter and Google +. It's a slow process first starting, but it eventually starts to make sense. You just have to post a few times a week and post on every social media site for a while and you will start to see results. I've been skeptical on this too, but if you stick with it long and hard enough, stuff will start to happen!

I really believe that bro, I've been getting a good bit of traffic every month, between 500-1000, but I haven't seen any sales as of yet. I think I'm going to put more focus on completing the training for the next little while but I'll still continue to build out content.

I've been here 4 months and didn't take a break from the training till half way through course 5 in bootcamp. Every mo th my results are getting better and I'm even starting to get refferals though none have become premium yet

about how many hours per week do you put into anything related to making money this way? I have too many things going on but at some point I will be in a position to really devote the time necessary to build this business up. I just have to since I got myself so in debt (not because of WA).

Though I haven't written a ton of blogs on my website, I have put many hours into other aspects like research, training here, ways to improve site speed, etc... I probably put a full time schedule into building my website. Though, I will admit I should be a little farther along than I am, but that's my fault not WA. I would aim to write 1-2 posts a week. In a years time you should be getting pretty decent traffic if you do that

Authoring & Writing Content

Is it a good idea to get my content out there by using Fiverr? For example, there's a lady who says she will place a person's blog on her page. I know it can have great affects

I agree with Quincy... you do not want duplicate content, a link should be sufficient.

I would not do this without discussing exactly what she would do. For $5, why not go for a link on her page to yours without duplicating your content.

I'm thinking the same thing. As I told Katie, that will provide a backlink to my site.

If you do not have the same content on your site it would be fine, however you would need to make sure how she intends to do this,, the best idea would be for her to do a post and link to your content or you do a fresh post for her to place on her site, google will penalize you if you have duplicate content

Yea that's what I was worried about but after discussing it with her, she said she would write fresh content about the topic and place the link to my article in the content.
I like this approach much better because it prevents duplicate content as well as provides a backlink to my website.

glad you have sorted it out hope it all goes well

My thought on this are pretty much in alignment with Moritz's, below.

If she is putting a link to your page all well and good, but duplicating content won't help either of you.

I was thinking the same thing too. We discussed it and she said she would write her on content on the topic and place links to my site in the content.

So long as you get the best version of your idea.

It haven't come to a decision yet, I'm still contemplating it. Thanks for you input.

If she is putting the whole content on her page, then it would be duplicate content, yes.

But it's usually the site that comes second, that gets affected by duplicate content.

When you have the post up first, then it shouldn't affect your site.

But maybe it would be the best if you write an original post to give to that lady with links to your site.
Like a guest post.

All in all, I don't know if the whole thing will bring you that much traffic and benefits.
Depends on the site of the woman.
If it's totally unrelated, then there wouldn't be a point, really.

Thanks for your response bro. She's has a fitness website that the article would be posted to but I think the guest post would be the best route to take. Thanks again bro.

Josh

You're welcome.
I hope it will work out fine!

I'm having a serious problem. When I click "login now" it shows "logging" in the tab at the top of the address bar but it won't log in. It's as if the log in freezes. Any ideas

I'm having the same problem, three days now. Have tried absolutely everything, from clearing cookies and history, from changing firefox to chrome, tried accessing with different internet connections (home wifi and friend's fast wlan). Nothing works. I've contacted the support and they say it must be a problem with the internet service provider. I don't understand how, when I get the same problem with two different internet connections. Getting desperate now...

I hope you have it resolved.

hope you have managed to resolve it with Kathys suggestion if not support ticket is the way forward

Clear browser and reset your ISP address. :)

Thanks so much Lady May. :-)

Josh

Yes, Kathy has a good handle on things!
Ed

Never had this problem, but I would do as Kathy suggests, below.

Try clearing your browser cache, if that doesn't work, contact support, they should be able to advise. :)

I clear my browser cache but it's still not letting me login. I just contacted support. Thanks to all of you for your help and respond.

I have a rather important question to ask.

When is your earnings report within your Amazon Associates account updated to show the amount of earnings of any preceding sale

I do not know that one. Amazon zapped my link. so I have to start over.
My apologies.

What you mean they zapped your link?

they shut it off due to lack of traffic..

Thank you Jean!
Ed

I see you were needing to know the answer to this question as well. :-)

Yes, and thank you!
Ed

It's updated when it ships usually.

That's what I was thinking too. Thank you Jean.
